Hulbert Happy Hour

"I ordered a grilled chicken salad for 12.99. It was the size of a side salad. The grilled chicken was about the size of a dolar folded in half and 1/4 inch thick. One end was hard as a rock the other end was tough as leather. The salad was no bigger than my open hand (both wide and thick), all iceberg lettuce. There was a sliver of onion, a very light dusting of cheese and 4 grape tomatoes. The ranch dressing did not taste like ranch. I wish I took a picture. We had to go up to the bar to pay our bill. The server never came back to give us one. There are much better places to eat right down the road. Don't waste your money for dinner here. Everyone in our party was not happy with with their meal, but that's a review for them to do."

"Awesome place to enjoy a cold beer while watching the deer eat right outside the window. Had a mushroom and Swiss burger and fries. Great staff and plenty of room for large parties."

"Unique off the beaten path Bar and Grill. The place has a long history and has many pictures posted on the walls of days passed. Wonderful view of Deer eating just feet away from the windows. Delicious Olive Burger and Philly. Great stop for Snowmobilers and summer trail beaters."

"Great North Woods bar and restaurant, with some local history on display. Clean throughout & friendly, welcoming people. We enjoyed our mushroom swiss burgers & beerbatter fries. The kitchen was dark, as another person commented, but brightened right up when the lights were turned on! No sign of sagging ceilings or any other sign of disrepair. Would be happy to enjoy a meal here again."
