Reviews
"I’m leaving this review at two stars and not one as I believe the animals are well cared for. However, we called ahead of time and asked if they had kittens. We made it clear that we were driving from over two hours away and wanted to get a kitten the day we made our appointment for. They said they had a ton of kittens. However, when we got there, there was only one available. The others, which had already been posted on their website, were not available yet. I was told that a few kittens had been adopted in the days before our visit. While I understand that, from the way I was talked to and the look of the website, it seemed like there were many more available. It was suggested that we come back in a few weeks. However, due to the distance and time the drive takes, this would not have been realistic. If we had been more aware of the situation, we would have simply waited a few weeks to get a kitten. Instead, we left without one. The kitten that was available was adorable of course, but it simply didn’t feel like the right match. What I can’t understand is why the shelter doesn’t operate like some others where you sign a contract stating that the cat isn’t legally yours until it gets neutered/spayed. This would allow kittens who are no longer nursing but not old enough to be fixed to get adopted. Again, I think this shelter takes good care of their animals. However, their policies and poor communication got in the way of me actually adopting a cat. I am not writing this review with any malicious intent, I simply don’t want others to experience this in the future."
"People are nice. Shelter is clean. This is a no kill shelter unless there is something very wrong with the animal to my understanding."
