Fifth Third Bank & ATM

"Sat at drive thru for 10 minutes while there wasn't a teller in site. Finally pushed the call button and 2 or 3 minutes later a teller appeared saying we will be with you in a few. Then I waited another 5 minutes. Then I pushed call button again and finally got my receipt. I asked teller #8 why it took so long and she said because we have alot of people in lobby. I understand they have both to wait on but over 20 minutes sitting in drive thru is kind of ridiculous"

"I was charged fees that I should have never been charged. I was lied to and ignored when I tried to have them fix the wrongful charges but they kept ignoring me. Even though my contract clearly showed what fees I should have been charged. Even fifth third corporate did nothing. They would not reverse the wrongful charges even after I showed them proof. And to make this all worse, I asked multiple times to only be contacted through email so I had a paper trail of their lies but they refused to do that every single time. Do not bank here, I have not had one issue since I closed my accounts and switched to pnc."

"Whoever the old lady is answering the phone for this location has to be one of the most condescending/ rude people I've ever spoken to. Refused to let me speak to anybody else and after being asked what her name was I was hung up on. Called the Location in the Kroger right next door and the issue she gave me a hard time with was resolved in less than a minute. AWFUL Customer Service."

"This location did not demonstrate any enthusiasm to open a joint bank account for my wife and I. My wife isn’t a US citizen so it was more complicated, but the first associate had no idea how to process opening a joint account with this variable added. He floundered for thirty minutes before bringing in his other associate to which she provided an excuse to not be able to process my wives passport. We went to PNC and they got me in with someone within five minutes and we are opening an account as we speak. I would not recommend anyone to this fifth third."

"I've been with Fifth Third for over 20 years and this is my first complaint. I tried calling them for 3 days in a row and could never get anyone to pick up the phone. I was switched over to an answering service and they were no help at all. I couldn't leave a message with them to relay to the bank. They tried calling the bank and no one would answer for them. I don't know how they expect to service their customers if they will not answer the phone. Yes, I could go into the bank but that means I would have to go 10 miles out of my way just because they will not answer the phone. Guess this is a sign of the times but damn poor service any way you look at it. Guess they are way too busy counting money to pick up the phone. I sure wish I had that problem, don't you?"
