"The guys that cleaned out my mom’s house were absolutely fantastic! Originally estimated to be 3/4 of a truck turned out to be two truck loads. They worked efficiently and packed as much as they could Into each truck. I had a quick turnaround time for scheduling and even that was smooth. I will definitely use them again!"
"BEWARE!!!! Our move was absolute nightmare!! I've moved over 30 times in my life and never had such incompetent movers!! This space isn't nearly big enough to list everything they did wrong but I'll post the highlights. First, they SEVERELY underestimated the time and supplies needed for packing, as well as the size of the truck needed. They showed up on packing day without enough supplies, and as they walked in stated "we have another job today so can only stay 2 hours". They also used something I think they called a fast pack, WITHOUT asking, which was a giant box with NO LID that they literally threw a bunch of stuff into, then left behind on the first trip, and on the second day, after my repeated asking, loaded it onto the truck but then couldn't stack anything on it since it didn't have a top! So inefficient and unprofessional, as we were also charged for this! Instead of telling us they didn't have a truck big enough they told us repeatedly they could do it, with the only exception possibly being a large weight machine. So we made it clear that if they had to leave anything behind it should only be small boxes or items we could fit in our car, because both my husband and I have bad backs and we hired them to do the heavy lifting, to which we were assured that would be no problem. LIES!!! When they arrived on moving day, after only loading about half of our stuff, very inefficiently loading the truck only about half way to the ceiling, they stated we would have to schedule another day to get the rest, and they left all the heaviest stuff behind, including that weight machine and ridiculously large box with no lid, despite me reminding them multiple times to be sure to load it!! At the end of that day we were told their manager would call us that evening to reschedule. They didn't. When I finally contacted them the next day, they didn't believe it was their mistake, stating "that was our son and he has a lot of experience" then they said "we can't afford that" when I suggested they send another team and truck to finish the job they quoted! They finally sent another team, TWO DAYS LATER, to load a U-Haul truck we had to rent, but that team was even worse, showing up late, again not loading the truck properly, not wrapping anything until I caught them and insisted, and damaging MANY items, and they left early, again leaving items unloaded and because of the absolutely horrible way they loaded the truck we were unable to fit everything again and had to rent yet another small uhaul to get the rest! This was an hour and a half trip EACH WAY for a total of THREE trips totalling 9 hours of driving plus the fee they charged and the cost of two rentals which was about an additional $300!! Not to mention all the time my husband lost having to take off work! They waived the charge for the second team, but offered no compensation for the damage, the additional cost to us, or our extreme stress and inconvience!! Additionally, upon unpacking the boxes they packed, they severely overcharged us for the boxes because none of them were more than half full! I opened a medium box to find it only 1/4 full of nothing but reusable shopping bags!! Another medium box had nothing but about 4 pans, and I still have several boxes to unpack, who knows what I will find! Later when sharing our experience with a coworker we were told "I wish I would have known who you were hiring, I would have warned you because I had the same experience"!! EVERY piece of wooden furniture I own has now been scratched or gouged due to no coverings being used, my new couch needed to be steam cleaned because they put it on end without a cover and slid it across the dirty floor of the truck, then they stepped on it leaving a muddy footprint, they didn't remove the cushions before they carried another couch out and the cushions fell off into the dirt, our cat tree was broken and is unrepairable, the list goes on and on. These people are clearly NOT trained at anything, and do not care!!"
"Best money we've ever spent. My husband and I hired Hunks to move 5,000 pounds of pine tongue-n-groove for a cabin we're building about 90 minutes away. Robert and Maverick were our moving Hunks and they were great! They met me at the lumber yard and worked with yard staff to safely load the material. They were good sports about getting to the cabin with doesn't have a physical address and maneuvering the truck. And they carefully unloaded all that pine safely and carefully, placing it right where we needed it. It was really impressive. Throughout the half day I was with them, they were friendly, pleasant, responsive to questions, and so hard-working. I couldn't be happier with the Hunks on our job and their service. My husband tells me the man who helped him make the reservation, determine the size of truck needed , and handle the scheduling was also excellent. (I'm sorry I don't have that man's name, but sir, if you're reading this, thank you!). So, the office staff was also competent, responsive, and friendly. In terms of cost, there were no surprises at the end of the day. The bill was exactly what was quoted, which was very reasonable and worth every penny. Overall we had an excellent experience with Hunks and would absolutely use them again. Thank you, Hunks!!"
