"Awesome store, definitely have a fe more things than the other store in town. They don't have any sled hockey equipment, which is understandable. But it would be very cool if we could get one store in town with some adaptive hockey equipment, the sport is growing in the area but we still have to order alot of our equipment online."

"First things first: this location seems to have a decent selection, and everyone is very friendly. But, beware on buying skates here. First off, they don't have a ton of options. Nobody was able to tell me the differences between skate models, I had to Google it myself. They tried to charge me for skate sharpening on the new skates I bought (then backtracked and agreed it should be free). I also asked them to help me find the skate blade size so I could order custom blades; I couldn't check the blade size myself as they were on my feet getting baked. Well, they told me the wrong blade size, and I spent $175 on new blades and a custom profile so I can't even return them. I know, I absolutely should have double checked. But I also trusted the HOCKEY STORE to tell me the correct HOCKEY SKATE blade size. A $175 lesson I suppose."

"First off, I'll start by saying I usually never leave a bad review, but the lack of empathy from customer service has been mind blowing. I brought several pairs of skates in last week to be sharpened, as my kids wanted to "check out the new hockey store"! After about 20 minutes the team rep. found me and asked if I was aware of one of blades being completed cracked through. I told him I was not aware of this as I had just looked over all the skates prior to bringing them in. Long story short, a new set of blades which cost $120 was now needed. Now the real issue... When I received an email about how my experience was, I simply shared my story. Since then, I have received emails from customer service stating how I overlooked the damage and how the technician would and could not have done that damaged based on their "top of the line" sharpening tools. According to customer service, it's absurd that I would even question if the damage was done in store. Basically, telling me, I have no clue what I am talking about and their highly qualified and knowledgeable technicians did not cause any damage to my skates (qualified... the store had been open less than a week). As a new store entering a town that has a customer base loyal to another local competitor, this is not a way to obtain new clients. And coming from a hockey family of three (two of which are under 8 years old) this store just lost out on thousands of dollars to be spent. I know the customer is not always right, but to share no care, accept no potential fault, and belittle your own knowledge... unbelievable. Word of advice, visit the "hockey world" in Polaris instead."

"Experienced great service at a store near DC several years ago while buying skates. This is a solid company. Today at the Columbia store, Mike and his staff took great care of my son and I. Solid service, customized to our needs and commitment to performance. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you sir!"
