"Mees took over 2 months to install my kitchen counter tops. They broke, miss-cut, had slabs that were varying in thickness, and even chipped surfaces of the granite using their tooling. Their issues were so much that nearly 50% of the pieces for the kitchen had to be replaced changing the initial layout and design completely. Even then they only offered a small discount. When final price wasn’t agreed upon, they threatened with a lien and even reached out and threatened family members on the phone who have no part of my contract yet are loyal customers of the old management at Mees. The saying “you get what you pay for” doesn’t even apply for Mees. You get what they force you to pay. I will be paying my final bill under duress to avoid a lien and then taking them to court for reimbursement for lack of providing what was originally agreed upon. Buyer beware, Mees is not what it used to be. Even if they reply to this message I’m sure they will say I’m picky and was out of town. Which are both true, but I arranged people to be at my house to allow Mees to measure multiple times when I was out of town. I clearly communicated, I even helped them layout the kitchen multiple times at their facility when they ran into quality issues and still they are trying to strong arm me for their deficiencies. I’m sure they would even say that “Kenny’s granite looked great” which is because it is an expensive granite. Yes the stone itself looked ok, but because the pattern was intricate it needed a specific layout which time and time again they broke and changed. Yes i am picky because the original cost of the kitchen granite was nearly $20k yet they could not get it right. Wouldn’t you be picky if someone laid a rotating saw on the middle of your counter and chipped it, yet forced you to pay nearly full price? For a 4 slab job, Mees had to nearly use 8 slabs to get it installed. By no means is it agreeable. Mees cannot perform more than basic installation of simplistic granite designs, and have no remorse for their own mistakes such as hitting railings with their slabs on installations. (NOTE it also says they’re not responsible if they destroy your appliances during install on their contract.) Thank god they didn’t scratch any of appliances!!! If this is what you want to deal with then go for Mees! Otherwise I highly suggest looking at other options. Feel free to reach out to me and I will share more of my disaster story with Mees if you are considering using them as a supplier for your beloved kitchen!!! I am normally not one to complain, but I hope to help others avoid the headache and now mediocre $10k ish kitchen I have to pay nearly $20k for. Best wishes!"
