Tactical Diesel Performance

"Took my truck in because it randomly decided to not start on me. So I thought first thing it was the fuel pump. I talked to tactical diesel and told them what I thought might have been the problem, Took it in there and they diagnosed it and installed the fuel pump in it and they said it was having the same exact problem.. then they installed new spark plugs and spark plug wires without even calling me or asking me if that was okay to do.. after that truck still had the same exact problem it went in there with. They called me and basically told me they aren’t able to fix the problem because it has to do with coding on the truck and was told to have to towed Toyota so they could fix it, granted they took off the labor on the bill but still got hosed for parts I didn’t even need.. And even after Toyota fixed it(which it ended up being a wire that had to do with the remote start) my fuel gauge wasn’t even working anymore…"

""Visited this shop after calling and inquiring with MANY shops in the area for my 2019 RAM 2500. I love my truck as much as my children and so would not take it just anywhere, but Juan knows his stuff and everyone else at the shop were professionals. The 5th gen RAM 2500s have fuel pump recall so as preventive measure had a fleece lift pump installed, deep transmission pan and transmission cooler bypass put on too. Also had a strange code relating to my transmission fluid pressure show one day and they were able to diagnose and correct an issue in my transmission valve body in time for a trip I had cross country. Truck ran like a champ and towed my lexus from Ohio to California with no issues. Highly recommended for anyone who cares about their diesel!""

"I dint really do reviews good or bad and dont really want to do this one but needs done and would give these guys a good rating if they would have finished/fixed their job and the truck was right after engine install. I fixed it and was all their issues. Juan seemed like nice guy but with the items below I have major issues putting a good review up. There was an Injector knock when i picked up at 1st then returned and they did pigtail and still same knock and codes came back for injection timing issues. They tried to tell me the problems were wiring, injectors(I bought from Lincoln Diesel) I have text from Juan not wanting to do anything so I talked to Lincoln Diesel. i called Tactical and left 5 messages during business hours over a couple weeks and also texted Juan a couple times with no response so obviously they were not standing behind their work. So I got a Matco Maxxis scanner from my buddy and fixed it myself. It had nothing to do with injectors or wiring it was programing that Lincoln told me to do because they see shops not doing it at times. And it worked exactly like Lincoln Diesel said, fixed the injector knock and all the codes from returning. Tactical 100 percent should have done this the 1st time and or the 2nd time truck was there. I have the text I sent to Juan to tell them I fixed the problem and to contact me and I will tell them what they didn't do but again no response. Also my brakes were randomly locking up when I got truck back from them with no previous issue when it went in. They threw a bunch of parts at it, brakes hoses calipers, master cylinder before I ever got it back and they charged me for brake lines i didnt need but not the other stuff as he had it there he said. They were still locking up when I got it back the second time for taking it in for injector and brake issues. They said wasn't their problem wouldn't return calls or messages after he told me it needed an abs pump and injectors were. ot warratied by him which neither were the issue he didnt take care of. I paid for an abs pump and installed it. Didn't fix it. Still randomly just starts to lock brakes up till you can't move. The item then did is something I had actually mentioned to Juan the 2nd time he had it. When brakes were locked from driving I lossened the 2 nuts holding the master cylinder on by 1 turn and brakes released so I put a 40 thousand shim in till I can pull the master cylinder and fix the adjustment of the rod or get the right master cylinder to have clearance. 2 other items. told them about a noise when taken back in and they never resolved. Also about week and half after I fixed brake issue I was looking and the drivers wire for speed sensor in on the frame sandwiched under the solid boost tube. wouldn't have taken long to rub thru. That's an easy fix but thing is they still never responded. Aside from these issues they did a good job. But if they can't respond or fix their problems and made the customer take care of those problems they should have done and was paid for."

"First my truck was at a Dodge/Ram dealership for almost 2 months and they made multiple, so called, repairs and still never fixed the problem. Within 1 day at Tactical Diesel, Juan was able to fix the issue. He is very knowledgeable about everything dealing with these diesel trucks and he “over” explained the issues and the process to make the repairs. I highly recommend doing business there. (I also live a hour away, but it was well worth the drive)"
