"Greg is incredibly talented and professional. We initially hired Greg to build us custom bunk beds, which are incredible. After that project, we hired Greg to install our new kitchen cabinets. While he installed our cabinets he also took care of installing our under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen. Once again, he was wonderful to work with and does beautiful work! We also have one of his custom hand-made cutting boards and it is gorgeous. A beautiful addition to our kitchen."
"Sawdust Therapy was referred to me by a friend that had Greg do some custom bookshelves in his office. My friend had nothing but amazing things to say about Greg's work and I have been lucky enough to discover why. When we moved our large family in to a three bedroom row home in Over-the-Rhine, we needed to be seriously creative with our space. Together, Greg and I, designed little bunkbed nests to fit four of my girls in one bedroom in a way that would facilitate their still being friends when they are grown up! Later he helped me fine tune a design for built-ins in an attic utility room turned craft/study/guest bedroom that allowed me to use every inch of the space and make it look like the room was originally designed for just those purposes. Greg is a collaborator. He is great at listening and really seeking to understand what you want. He gives his opinions, but in the end will always make sure you have the final say. He was great at working with me to keep detail elements of the design while still being creative about how to work with what we had. On the bunk bed project, I approved all of the design specs and measurements, but once the bunks were installed, the optical proportions of the top bunk to bottom bunk looked top heavy when viewing from floor height. Greg and his team came up with several solutions to fix the issue and ensure the project was just what I had envisioned. Truthfully, the "fix" completes the bunks and adds that last little bit of custom detail. I can't say enough good things about Greg and his work. I only hope I have many more reasons to work with him in the future!"
"I have worked with Greg Matulionis a number of times over the last 10 years. The first time, they completely rebuilt the small front porch on our Clifton home. After seeing what a craftsman he is, I asked Greg if he could improve our fireplace and it's surrounding built-ins. He arrived with a pile of lumber pieces, and created that you see here. Greg built everything below the mantle as well as the bookshelves under the window. It feels like it was always there! In 2019, Greg and his team did a rear addition for us. Having never been through this process, I wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately Sawdust Therapy had done enough of this that they have it down to a science. They were punctual, conscientious, honest, hard working and a joy to work with. One of the details that Greg designed were the shelves in the Den seen in the attached photo. He built them in his shop, and suggested the natural walnut countertop, which is the centerpiece of the room. If you are considering any work in your home, you should consider Sawdust Therapy!"
"We hired Sawdust Therapy to create a unique custom millwork insert into the living room area of our home. The upper and lower cabinets were designed to display books, artwork, photographs, and artifacts acquired over time. The millwork would also add basic storage and a wireless, mechanized TV lift that allowed for full viewing of a 42”screen when desired and for that same screen to seamlessly retract, becoming invisible when not in use. The existing niche into which the new custom millwork assembly was installed had a large window that had to be removed. The opening had to be filled in and insulated, with new exterior siding. The exterior blending of old and new is a perfect match. One would never know there was a patch. The new millwork was fabricated and painted in Sawdust Therapy facilities, brought to the site and carefully fitted to its new home. The lift was installed and the finish details completed in record time. This millwork piece has concealed lighting throughout. During the holidays the piece is transformed into a magical display of holiday memorabilia while still allowing any manner of sporting event or movie to be seen – or “unseen” in a matter of seconds if so desired. As with all Sawdust Therapy work, the craftsmanship is impeccable. The service and value are equally impressive. The work they have done has added great value to our house and to our enjoyment of our home. We highly recommend Greg and his team."
"Greg was a pleasure to work with! I wanted a cabinet to hold a new electric fireplace and our flatscreen tv. Greg offered great solutions, and came in on budget and before his projected deadline. The cabinet works perfectly and looks stunning - the the before and after pictures say it all! I will absolutely use Greg for future projects both inside and outside my home."
