"Had to have an exterior bib replaced. Junior shows up with a helper. Neither knew what they were doing which resulted with me showing them what to do. Shoddy work for the price. Never again."
"This company replaced my water heater in March of 2019. The final cost was well over what I was quoted. In Aug 2022 and I found out it was installed incorrectly as there is a small carbon monoxide leak coming out of the top. I have to have the entire heater replaced after a little over 3 years. After looking at the other reviews, it seems that contacting them would be futile. I would recommend nobody ever use this company."
"I felt completely scammed and betrayed by this company! I hired JD Hunter and his partner Aaron to replace a water heater tank. The agreement was to replace an 80 gallon water heater with new 80 gallon water heater tank for $1500. I found out they installed a 50 gallon water heater tank instead! When I asked why, he replied that the 80 gallon tank is no longer on the market and the 50 gallon tank is actually a hybrid 100 gallon tank which cost him over $1100 just for the product. I offered him an extra $100 if he could show me invoice receipt but he refused. I learned from Lowes the cost of the 50 gal tank is actually only $409, and it is not a 100gallon hybrid tank! I called him multiple times to honor his agreement and install the 80 gallon tank (available in stock at Lowes) but he refused and kept telling me to go take 5 showers back to back and see if I ran of hot water. When I explained to him I am not interested in doing that he replied “Sue me, See you in court” I felt this was outrageous and beyond bad customer service. I notified Home Advisor about the issue and filed a complaint with the BBB. I honored Mr. Hunter’s wish and also notified my personal lawyer!"
"I called JD Hunter recently for a minor plumbing problem. He was able to fit me in the same day. Very pleased with the work he did. He is knowledgeable and courteous.Price was very reasonable. Left work area clean and tidy. I have used his services before and I'll use him again! Call JD if you need a good plumber. You will not be disappointed!!"
"I had two leaks in my home. I call JD out to give a quote only. When he originally gave the quote he said he'd change bolts for $100 and asked if I'd be ok with this, I said I needed to speak to my husband, then he told me "hang on a minute" he started messing around like he was really looking at the problem and only tightened the bolts. He then said that's all both problems needed was to tighten a couple bolts. I was super surprised and almost in shock when he said it would be $125. When asking why he was charging me after he was only supposed to give the quote he wouldn't answer and when asking why it was $125 he couldn't explain. I asked if that was a service call fee he said he did not have a set price and he told me he'd stand behind his work. That he was confident I wouldn't have anymore problems, so I did pay him. The next day when I looked I saw there was still a leak in both areas. I called him to give him another chance to stand behind his work and he came to replace a brass pipe going to my dishwasher supply line and he tightened a bolt in another area of my laundry room and said that was all it needed but gave me a disclaimer about the laundry room leak that if he needed to come back it would be $300 worth of work and we would need to call the city to shut off water. Later both places were still leaking and I wasn't going to call again. I did call another company that replaced several parts that cost me the same price as JD and haven't had a problem since."
