"Non Managed Wildlife Management Land - When hiking to get solitude, this place can be unnerving due to over hunting. Even in the dark off the beaten paths, in these woods you can find stands and blinds, and since it's not managed, many stands stay up year round with no name, address or identification of any sort on them which I thought was the law? I have been hiking this land for the past 15-20 years and even though it's spectacular wild land, it NEEDS to be managed and have a limited quota where only a certain number of hunter can hunt and where hunting is only allowed on certain days and times and hiking on other days and times to make it more enjoyable for everyone."
"A nice place to get outside and into the woods. Not the best place for a day of hiking or a great day of hunting. The main old Farm Road is decent enough, but branch off into any of the side trails and you will be highly disappointed. Over the years they have received zero maintenance, and most are littered with large dead falls that block the trail in frequent intervals. In other places the side trails disappear into the leaves and appear as nothing more than an area where the leaves have been slightly walked on. No real trail construction ever happened, and they just sort of marked out a path, and that path never got enough use to wear down into a noticable trail. Regardless it is a nice enough place to get outside for a bit, just don't expect to come home with a trophy buck or even a modest amount of small game. This place experiences extremely high hunting pressure, daily."
"Love the place. The parking could use some work. Only having one entrance and that entrance being a quarter mile hill make it a very hard place to get in and out of. Could use some new signs and markers and some trail work. Back fields need cut also."
"A huge wildlife preserve. The trails are not well maintained if at all. If you have some back country navigation skills and a map there are some beautiful parts of this property. Cell phone coverage is spotty too so be prepared to take care of any problems you may have on your own."
