Georgetown South Apartments

"I do not currently live here but in the apartments behind. Georgetown has really upped their game since I lived there. They have installed new windows, the grounds look great, and the exterior lights that were broken are now working. I have heard that the fencing around the patios that's been rotting since it was installed are being replaced and the parking lot repaved."

"Georgetown South Apartments are an economical solution and generally very well kept. I was particularly impressed with the Apartment Manager Jane. Jane was probably one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met in my life. When I was down and out, she baked a huckleberry pie and brought it over to my apartment to cheer me up. I have no idea where she got the huckleberries, as they generally grow only out west, but it was delicious! Thank you Jane for always brightening everyone's day!"

"I lived her for a year. Didn't get my security deposit back even though the house was spotless. I got kicked out due to playing music in my car too loud, having an "animal" living with me when I didn't have one, denied my Emotional Support Animal saying it was fake, and was creeped on constantly by Jane the office lady. She is the upmost rudest person you've ever met, it's supposed to be fair housing but it is definitely not. Please do not try to rent here it was a nice place to live and be but she made it awful."

"The apartments themselves are fine, and priced appropriately. But the office manager, Jane, is a garbage person. She is rude, disrespectful, and sits on quite a pedestal. The maintenance man, George, is very creepy. Since the day I moved in, he's tried to hang out with me personally, even after I've made it clear I don't want to. One morning, he knocked on our door and when we didn't answer, he looked through our bedroom window."

"Word of warning: There was mouse poop under the fridge when I moved in and the drier vent was so full of lint that my drier nearly caused a fire. We spent hours cleaning before even moving any of our stuff into the apartment. On top of that, this apartment complex is run by a large company and will rip you off if given the chance. A few weeks ago I notified the office that I was hoping to move out at the end of the month and asked the Office Manager if they would allow me to move out without the full 30 days notice. She said she'd check with her supervisor and call me back. A few days later I hadn't heard from her so I gave her a call and she said she that they had agreed to waive the 30 day notice rule and I could go ahead and move out. It wasn't until I had moved out and handed in my key that she informed me that they would be keeping my entire deposit (equal to a full month's rent) to pay for the following month's rent since I hadn't given the proper 30 days notice. On top of that, they wouldn't even let me keep the key to store items at the apartment through the following month, which my deposit was paying for! I called the supervisor at the owner-company and was told, "the Office Manager made a mistake in telling you we would waive the 30-day-notice rule and since you've already handed in your key we can't give it back... sorry about your luck!" BTW, all of this happened after a move-out inspection that passed with perfect scores and every single month's rent paid on time for 16 months... Do yourself a favor, Find somewhere else to rent!"
