"*Update* Someone from corporate reached out and told me they would refund the $125 “move out” fee for our inconvenience. This call was over a month ago and we have not received a check, and all of our calls and messages go unanswered. We moved here around September of 2022 on a 14 month lease. We felt like the prices were horribly inflated at the time, but unfortunately had no choice as we moved to Medina for a new job. Even at the start there were multiple red flags, like them trying to charge the full $799 deposit until we questioned it. The AC not working and they just recharged a 30 year old unit that lasted a few months then when they recharged it again the tech overcharged it and killed it. We then waited a week or so to get a replacement unit, with no compensation or communication. The office is impossible to get a hold of, they never answer the phone the first time. They randomly close the pool for days at a time with no credit or warning. They even had it closed for awhile waiting for a "new lock" with no credit to residents. Our garage wouldn't close correctly for three months. The maintenance guy closed the work order without even looking at it apparently and it took four calls and three months to use my garage, again no compensation. The trash areas are always a mess, we had to complain about it to get it cleaned. The apartments are listed as "renovated" but are just original 1980s cabinets spray painted white with builder grade countertops. The water bills are outrageous, they take the whole buildings bill and divide it between all residents. When we moved in they told us to expect an average bill for $40, it was $70-90. This place will also bury you in fees. $4.99 a month to send me a monthly rent statement? Billing for pest, amenities and trash removal? Why is none of this included when we pay over $1400 in rent? They charge a $125 "turn over / move out" fee to come by the apartment for 3 minutes to check it out. The worst part was when we received our renewal offer. They jacked our rent up so high it was laughable (over $200), all while listing our same unit online for $200 less than our CURRENT rent. We considered staying but at those prices it wasn't possible. After we asked about it and them putting it off until a week before we had to decide they said "We will offer a zero dollar increase, but we never go less". We asked for this offer in writing, and never got it. So we gave our notice and were promised a call from corporate that still to this day we have not received. 35 days after we moved out our final move out statement came, with a check for half of our deposit. They withheld it claiming its for "utilities" but we paid those when we cut our last check with prorated rent. Our statement shows a "late" fee that conveniently adds up to the amount missing from our refund. It was added, removed and added again. The property manager said she would have her boss call me, that was a week ago with no call. This place will scam you out of your money. All the negative reviews for Solomon don't lie."
"I have lived here for a little over two months now, and I couldn't be happier! The property, the amenities, and the staff have all been amazing! I've had a couple minor maintenance issues (my doing) that have been handled very promptly. The property recently had a water line and gas line issue that were handled so professionally and with communication going out to the tenants appropriately every two hours with updates until it was resolved. Everyone (staff) stayed on the property until late at night to make sure everyone's utilities were restored safely. Thank you! I love my new home!"
"The worst apartment community i ever lived in. Very shady management and horrible owners. Maintenance sucks too. They even charge a $125.00 move out fee which i never had in the state of ohio. And the mice in the garage was absolutely ridiculous since i was charged a pest control fee every month."
"Mallards crossing has been the best place we have lived so far. the neighborhood is so welcoming, I’ve made so many friends over the last couple of months since moving here, the maintenance men are wonderful and the small problems I have had have been resolved in a couple days. My boyfriend burned a pizza and it set off the smoke alarm / oven wouldn’t turn on and emergency maintenance was there quickly on a Sunday and had it resolved. The ladies in the office are wonderful, and have went above and beyond for me & my family moving in here. The apartment is INSANELY adorable, and when we have guests over they always comment about how beautiful our place is. The spiral staircase is my FAV, and I call it the “money piece” of the apartment. I highly recommend this place to everyone when apartment shopping, and I plan to be here for a while."
"Went on vacation for a few days and came back to a massive water leak in our ceiling. We reported this to emergency maintenance who came out and did a proper job. Hundreds of $ worth of stuff was damaged by the water so we asked the manager if there was anything they could do to help pay for damages. She was rude and unprofessional and basically told us tough luck. This is only one of our many negative experiences with this place."
