The Tappan has been the perfect home for us – It's a quiet, community centered place that has allowed me to focus on my studies and my dog to thrive. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my second and third years of law school. With Lincoln Park being so close and the Leavened so convenient, it truly is a great place to be."

"Excellent place to live. You have Leavened the bakery downstairs, the rooms are spacious and high-ceilinged, with ample soundproofing, and the building itself feels natural and organic. Their maintenance team will come the very next day and the whole team is responsive to any inquiries. I would highly recommend to any young person in Cleveland to live in one of this company's properties. They do things the right way and actually make their tenants feel cared about. It is worth it to live here."

"My wife and I lived at The Tappan from June 2020, when the building was still under construction and we were one of the first tenants, until June 2023 when we left to move into a house. Throughout our time there, we were amazed at how wonderful the team at SCA was. The apartment was very luxurious with high ceilings and big windows, the building was always clean and in good order, maintenance requests were immediately addressed, and there was just a clear sense that it was run by people who genuinely care about their tenants and community. The gym was very clean and usually not too crowded, having Leavened attached to the building was an amazing bonus, not charging rent or fees for our dog was a very rare and appreciated amenity, and the location was safe and convenient to get around Tremont, downtown, and accessing the east and west sides. Highly recommend the Tappan to anyone looking to live in Cleveland without the hustle and bustle of being downtown."

"i’ve lived at the tappan for nearly a year now and have loved every moment of it! my one bedroom apartment is the perfect size with tall ceilings, big windows, and excellent appliances. the apartment building’s amenities including the gym, outside fire pit, rooftop, mail + package room, and bike storage have all been incredibly useful and enjoyable. then there’s leavened, the wonderful bakery connected to the building. i regularly work from this cafe and its baked goods, especially the cheddar scallion scone, are *chef’s kiss*. the location is also excellent—just a 10 minute walk from all the main tremont attractions, including restaurants, bars, coffee shops, parks, and the towpath trail. on top of all that, the tappan’s staff + residents are all kind, smart, and extraordinarily helpful. i really can’t say enough nice things about this place and it has been the perfect place for me!"
