Reviews of Edge32 Apartments
"The apartments themselves are great; spacious with good lighting and terraces. Things go downhill once you leave your apartment. Since I moved here, the building has changed hands twice. The first team was excellent, second team was ok, and current management is terrible. They are almost never around, respond slowly or not at all to maintenance issues. For example, in the past 90 days the elevator has been out of order for half of those days. Not really acceptable in an expensive luxury building that’s only 5 years old. My car was broken into inside of the gated parking lot, which we recently had a price hike to almost 200 dollars per month, and the building refused to pay for the broken window. If you want private outdoor space like I did, you don’t have many options. If you don’t care much about having private outdoor space, I would recommend living elsewhere."
"The Building was recently sold and the new management team is horrendous. They started to add fees without notice to my bill. Randomly stopped allowing bank checks as payment will only allow you to use the portal. There was a shooting inside the hallway and the stairwell at the building in April 2022. The security can only do so much but someone is prying at the security gate gate in order to break into cars or the building. The utilities here are insanely high and they have it on hidden meter so there's no real way to identify the overcharging of the residents. Great location horrible place to live."
"(full disclosure I am a neighbor and not a tenant) There are a few key things that I look for in an apartment building and providing an outside perspective, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. Before moving in next door to this apartment, I did actually take a tour of the building itself and considered living there and I have a few thoughts. 1. Management is crucial - and this place will seriously let you down. Walking in to the building as a prospect, there is no one to be found, it's a ghost town unless you are getting a tour. Outside of the building, it took about half an hour on the internet just to find a phone number, which of course went to a generic answering/menu service which took multiple attempts and navigating to even get a voicemail (unless you call sales and they are happy to pick up but can't help outside of sales). Once I finally got the property manager he basically will do nothing - actually, he will tell you he will do something and simply not do it. 2. Cleanliness - the staged rooms seem fine but there are issues outside the building with cleaning and maintenance. There is a dog area for the tenants that is absolutely littered with feces, which is actually cleaned by my other neighbor instead of the apartment. This area is the apartments property and if this is any indication of cleanliness, I would be very concerned actually living there. It was so bad last summer that there were fleas entering the neighboring yards from this pet area. I had to get an exterminator to spray along the fence line to block that area. 3. Other Tenants - the building is actually very empty, I can see a lot of rooms that have remained empty for a very long time (at the time of writing this, I've been living here about 1 year and 3 months). This is not a good sign - you can read other comments about maintenance issues, etc which probably are a big reason the building is empty. Of the tenants that do exist, I have had many really negative interactions with at least one. He is incredibly disrespectful, parties at all hours and has a very loud dog that sits outside on the porch barking incessantly (again at all hours, day and night)."
"I’ve been renting at Egde 32 since Aug 2017, in fact I was one of the original few first tenants. As a new property, there are areas that need improvement, but one thing that has remained constant was the availability of the new property manager. There was a transition in management within my first lease and I can definitely appreciate the change. Micheal has been awesome since day 1! Extremely accommodating, easy to talk to, and is available to address problems as they arise. During one the city wide blackouts/power outage, I was impressed with how diligent Micheal worked to make sure Edge was restored with power ASAP. As opposed to under the previous management where we waited almost 10 hours without power in the middle of winter. Edge 32 is a very modern and upscale property, there is one elevator and each floor has there own trash chute, making it extremely easy to take out the trash. The location is less than 10 minutes from downtown and within walking distance to a few eateries, bars, gym, coffee shops, market, etc."
"I've lived at Edge32 for the past year and a half after moving out of a neighboring apartment building in Hingetown, and I am so much happier with this one. Design is nice and clean (soft close cabinets, tiled showers, barn doors) and the apartment is taken care of. The building manager is incredibly responsive and friendly. The only service issue I needed was to have batteries replaced in my thermostat, and they were made that day. I have a west-facing balcony where I enjoy the most amazing sunsets and views of Lake Erie in the summer."
