Compton Lake Apartments

"So let me start by saying this was my first "official" residence post divorce, and I can honestly say I enjoyed living at Compton Lake overall. I stayed there for 4 years (two years longer than I expected), but there were definitely some things I really found to be unappealing. First, was the heat/AC system. Summers were HOT in the bedroom because the AC was a wall unit in the living room, so the air really didn't reach the bedroom. Also, residents were not allowed to install AC units in their bedroom so it was SWELTERING!!! As for the heat, well it was controlled via a broiler so it had to be at least 50 degrees outside for it to kick in. Those weird spring/fall days made it really cold sometimes! Now on to the laundry, and I gotta say if they would remodel those apartments to have stackable washers/dryers instead of the half bath I probably would have stayed!! I wasn't a fan of the laundry rooms because they weren't convenient especially in the winter or rain! Anyway, be aware if you of all of this if you plan to move there! FATH Properties continues to raise the rent (I think my one bedroom is now $1050!!!), which would be justified with these changes: 1. Central heat/AC 2. In unit washer/dryer 3. Access to the clubhouse!"

"Roaches and not a safe area!! The hot water and heat are always going out and they leave us DAYS without it and we never get compensated for it. There’s robberies that happen normally and areas where people from other neighborhoods get in even tho this is supposed to be a private property. The outside lights are always out so it’s very dark making it even easier for people to steal, someone’s whole car got stolen. We’ve had 4 managers since we moved here (only been here 2 years), raised the rent twice already and yet still never respond phone calls or emails, always have to call as an emergency to get through to someone. Y’all they suck here don’t let them fool you I thought it was a nice place too when I first seen it. VERY DISAPPOINTED"

"Well I've applied for an apartment, don't know if I got it yet. But I can say that they have been decent quick on there responses back in the process of it all. Hoping it'll be the place my family can call home."

"Do not move here! I feel very tricked my rent just went up 70 dollars I just made a year mark I was told that it would not be going up after my first year! I don't have a dishwasher or garbage disposal that says it's included when you apply I had to beg for storage! My lock has been messed up since I moved in they did an inspection a few weeks ago and assured me that they would have it fixed by the following Monday! I paid a lot to move here and I really regret it. Had I have known they were going up and going up that high I would have been looking for another place months ago! It's not worth it don't move here!"
