Shadow Hill Apartments

"I lived at Shadow Hills from Apr '11 to May '14, and would recommend it to anyone. We lived in a one bdrm top floor, and was very pleased with how things worked out for us. At first I had my doubts, within a month of moving in, the plumbing had gone bad, backing up our tub and sink! Within the hour, Maintenance was there, and worked diligently on it for two days ... and didn't need to come back out to fix it. It was fixed the first time. Speed ahead two years later, in the middle of the night about 5a, our toilet had blown up! I don't know what happened, but the Emergency Maintenance, was there within 20 minutes, didn't grumble or complain, was dressed to work, and went to work. He fixed it within an hour and was very pleasant about it despite the hour and the demand. There have been turn-overs on staff, but the ladies have done an incredible job. Always prompt, always courteous, and always understanding. Parking was iffy, as there were times I couldn't park near my apartment, and other times I could. Noise levels were great, I seldom heard my neighbors. I'd recommend this place to anyone, as I always felt well taken care of. Edit — We moved back there from 2018 to 2021. I would not recommend this as much as I used to. Noise level was fine, even for being in the basement but we had to deal with German cockroaches. Since we were in the basement floor, there had been a couple that dropped out of the ceiling vent on me! The dishwasher kept breaking on us despite me doing all GE said to do & eventually they stopped replacing it. They also did not return our deposit. We did have a set of blinds that were bent (we informed the office) but they didn’t want to do walkout with us due to Covid and said it would be fair. Our neighbors were pretty cool though, they did evict one who had a dog who chased after people and they took that seriously when it happened. Maybe things have gotten better since COVID but it’s not a place I recommend, especially not to the heights it enjoyed before. Pictures are from being told the dryer vent was cleaned out and I went over to have done. As you can see, an issue. The other is from roaches that were running through our cupboards."

"A Spook-tacular Halloween Celebration at our Amazing Apartment Community I cannot express enough how incredible our Halloween celebration was at our apartment community this year! The event was so well-organized and exceeded all expectations. Atmosphere was electrifying. The decorations were absolutely phenomenal, creating an ambiance that set the perfect spooky mood. It was clear that the management team had put a lot of effort and thought into transforming our community into a Halloween wonderland. Excellent...."

"I lived here for 2 and a half years, and while I lived there, I had no issues whatsoever with contacting staff or getting questions answered or anything. It was a good experience. When I left I gave the minimum 30 days notice since I was on a month to month basis at that point. Three months after I moved out, I got a notice from a debt collector saying they bought some debt that I still owed to Shadow Hill. Up to that point, I had heard nothing from SH at all regarding missing payments due, so it was a bit of a shock. It was frustrating since they had my new address, and existing phone number and email address and still I heard nothing. I had even contacted them a month or so earlier since I never received a final move out document that they said I would receive and didn't hear back on that either."

"DO NOT MOVE HERE!! MOVED IN AUGUST 1st, (22 days ago) ROACHES IN THE UNIT, STOVE DID NOT WORK, CANNOT REACH ANYONE IN THE OFFICE UNLESS I PHYSICALLY WALK IN DURING BUSINESS HOURS, RENT INSURANCE CHARGED WHEN I OPTED FOR MY OWN POLICY, & THIS IS 22 DAYS IN. FOR $1100 a month, find a nicer place."
