Reviews
"Spacious and fully furnished apartments. Good price at great location. Staff is very friendly and helpful."
"Never live here. All the one star reviews are true!! They should have 0 stars especially towards the management of this place. On move in day the apartment was disgustingly dirty. The carpets had gum stuck in it, the stove top and cabinets were caked with grease, the refrigerator had food stuck to the inside and outside, the floors turned our socks black, the bathroom had soap scum all over it, which all took days and lots of money to clean. The air vents were filled with dust and coated gray from the accumulation of dirt and dust which we had maintenance come in and clean. You can see the dirt coated on the walls that were never freshly painted before move in day. We tried to call many times, over a few weeks after move in day to discuss our concerns and they literally shut down their phone lines, and you could not get in touch with anyone. During our year of living here there were bugs coming through the vents from other apartments, and the constant smell of cigarette smoke. Maintenance department (not management) was very helpful and replaced our carpet and had to put plastic bug traps in our vents to prevent the bugs, and had to ozone bomb our apartment to rid the smoke smell in the apartment. The maintenance department even said it is bad!! That says something. On top of all this, a staff member in management took our complaints and decided to slander us with it. Renter BEWARE!!!"
"My room and bathroom were nice but the shower needed cleaning like it had never been touched. There are also some strange discrepancies between room size and whether or not the bathroom is connected. Throughout, but especially in Fall, the internet would go out for a day or days. The common area was nice too and I received my full security deposit back despite my roommates' uncleanliness. The parking situation however is abysmal. I was told I was on the waitlist for a pass before signing and heard nothing the whole year after despite there being continuously vacant spots. If you tried to briefly park in those spots, a tow truck would be there like it was waiting (I was towed). They don't tell you where you were towed till you guess and call, and make you pay a ridiculous fine in exact change that changes by the day. There is street parking, but it's highly fought over and people kinda suck at parallel parking. Annex is owned by the same people but there's plentiful parking, the rooms are more spacious, the lounge is bigger and better, and I experienced less internet issues. Recommend it."
"Genuinely the worst business I have ever come across in my entire life. Not only does the management team lack basic communication and customer service skills, they also have no idea how to run a business efficiently. I repeatedly had issues of money I had paid getting "lost" and when the issue was brought to their attention I could not get anyone to discuss it with me. The manager was always "not available" or "in a meeting" even after I was put on hold while the receptionist spoke to her. Additionally, I was very nastily told that they had responded to all of my emails and calls when I had never heard anything back from them at all. The Verge will draw you in with their shiny amenities and promise of a great place to live, when in reality it is nothing but a mess behind the scenes. There are so many much better places to live in Oxford (Campus Commons, Miami Preserve, The Annex) and as someone who regrets living here for two years, save yourself the time and money and live literally anywhere else."
"Wow. The Verge has blown away all of my expectations for an off-campus apartment. GREAT location close to campus, BEAUTIFUL interior spaces, and AMAZING office and maintenance staff. I have had an unforgettable experience here so far both living and working here, so I would highly recommend living life on The Verge and calling this place home for as long as you possibly can!"
