"It's a nice place with nice staff but it seemed to be a little shady. As we were applying and got our leases we had issues that we needed to sort out with the lease itself. I repeatedly called and emailed in order to get me and my partner on the same lease and to get my father as my guarantor. When my father was trying to sign as my guarantor he was sent the wrong link and instead accidentally applied as a resident. And when my partner was sent a link to be my co-occupant they ended up getting their own lease. When I got my lease the cost was not advertised like it was on the website for a 6 month lease (on the website the lease said it was $1000 per month but my lease said $1344). When we called we were told this was because we had a premium lease and this is what the 6 month lease costs. However, on the lease that my partner got it was only $1000. This gave us a lot of confusion and when I emailed about this I got no response back. Finally, as we were still trying to get everything situated to finally sign the lease with West, they emailed us saying that they are no longer doing 6 month leases and to contact on any more information. This was incredibly discouraging as we repeatedly showed interest in signing the lease and got in contact multiple times. It is also confusing as their website still shows the option for the 6 month lease over a week after we were told they are no longer doing it. If you need a 12 month lease this place might be a decent spot in Oxford but be aware that there could end up being some issues while you stay."

"In short, the second star is only being awarded for maintenance's willingness to help with the apartment. They seemed real understaffed and I sympathize with that. I was only there for Fall 2023 and I spent over a month of that time cleaning the apartment. Everything in the kitchen was coated in something sticky like the cabinet lacquer melted off. The furniture, while nice, was as grimy as could be. Leftover trash and boxes in the kitchen and debris all over the floor made it so apparent no cleaning crew made an effort. The scattered dead ladybugs on the ceiling was a new horror. I had to alert maintenance of so many things: the AC, sink, toilet, ventilation fan, doorbell, and even front door handle. To their credit, each was tackled. There was something innately wrong with the toilet however that caused it to clog with the slightest amount of toilet paper. I also fixed the shower and shelving on my own. There is promise here! The apartment layout and furniture are good and short-term is an option. I believe current management is more on-top of the ball so hopefully future reviews reflect that."

"I would give this place a zero rating if I could it's none stop issues with this place. When we first moved in they had false advertisements said a free month off your rent but got 3 days off when we moved in at the end of July we could of paid 3 days to live here and got August free. A month is 30 days . Was suppose to get a basement floor plan or 1st floor since im high risk pregnant but got put on the 3rd floor. We called before we moved in was suppose to get our keys at 10 am but had to wait untill 3 something in the afternoon never got moved in until 1 am due to having to let our helpers go home and us driving back and forth from franklin OH to oxford to move .Had problems with Marijuana smells coming up through my apartment , noise complaints as it sounds like my down neighbors live above us and these issues never got fixed at all. Now the guy that works in the office lost our rent money and we have late fees added to our bill. I have my money order Receipts & all they can say is not to worry about the late fees or for us to talk to the guy when we comes to work or us go get another money order. This is not our fault we paid our bills on time and I refuse to help out with the situation that is there workers fault. He obviously should be fired or somthing due to him lying about who paid our rent and mishandling money from a resident. They want rent paid on time well I want my rent problem fixed on time THIS SHOULD NOT BE A ISSUE ON OUR END YOU GUYS NEED TO FIX THIS . I'm pregnant and should not have to deal with speaking to the worker who lost our money order he's your worker do somthing about this all this will cause is issues on our end . We are very upset with him and should not have to do your job talking to him about a problem that is not our job like what do you exept to get out of that situation? Look back on your cameras and can clearly see ME not my man paying rent I have everything good on my end now its time for you guys to fix this issue. & stop acting like this isnt a big deal I want the money off my account by tomorrow no reason we should have to deal with this, we pay our bills on time every month. I do not recommend living here. Since we moved in this complex has stressed us out and screwed us over."

"Not a great place to live at all. Just paid rent for the month and notice I have late fees today for not paying by the 5th which I did and have my receipts for my money orders. This place lost my money order and is trying to act it's no big deal I want my issue fixed today or I will be seeing yall in court. You want your rent payment at a certain time well I want my issue fixed at a certain time. Completely unexceptible and very un professional. I work too hard to pay my bills for them to just lose my money orders. Not the first problem with this place either but I won't get into that. Wouldn't recommend renting here"

"Oxford West isn’t a bad place to live At all . I did have some problems with the maintenance people coming to fix my base board heater for the longest time. It did eventually get fixed and they refunded for all the months the electric was expensive so that was nice ! Overall it’s quiet and nice place to live"
