"Please be advised.. I was a resident since 2018 rent was $730 as of then rent grew to $975 before you questioned the economy most places here in bg have stayed within reasonable prices but Cheryl told me she planned to rent it out of a $1000 I had 2 bedroom for my 4 year old and but there was a fire below us, I warned Cheryl (property manager) this was a concern but no avail it was ignored."
"This is a great and affordable place to move into! Especially for those looking for a nice clean apartment that does not cost an arm and a leg. The area is nice and quiet and clean. My 2 year experience with Winthrop and its resident manager Cheryl have been nothing but positive. Maintenance is friendly and knowledgeable. Cheryl and her crew are accommodating on all fronts, from paperwork to any issues you may face in the apartment. I highly recommend checking out Winthorp Terrace and ask to speak with Cheryl she will get you everything you need."
"I lived in Winthrop Terrace for two years from 2016-18. I loved it! I originally toured a two bedroom apartment, but ended up with a one bedroom because the living room was so sizable, I was able to still have a pull-out couch for when family came to visit and a desk for work at home. My experience with the staff was great, and they even painted an accent wall of my choosing going into my second year. Close to my work on campus and easy to bike downtown, the location was ideal once you get used to the train going by a couple times a day. I had an apartment that had great green space outside the back as well, but the back door was older and had a bit of a gap that I had to seal, especially throughout the winter. Heating and cooling were great, and I loved having a walk-in closet. For the location, price, and apartment size, it was a great experience."
"What I love most about Winthrop Terrace is maintenance. Whenever I have an issue with my apartment, regardless of what it is (kitchen sink, bathtub, dishwasher), maintenance comes in within 24 hours to take care of it. They're extremely helpful and so friendly. One of them even helped me jump my car in the winter. Laundry facilities and parking is great, too."
"We have had such a positive experience with Winthrop Terrance. Our son just finished his freshman year at BGSU. With all the COVID restrictions BGSU gave an incentive for students to live off campus. We were fortunate to find him and his buddy a nice two bedroom two bath apartment at Winthrop Terrace. Cheryl and the staff went out of there way to make them feel comfortable and were quick to help when needed. The apartment was close enough for our son to ride his long board to campus on nice days and he had the advantage of commuter parking when he drove. The apartment was perfect for their first experience living away from home. They had a variety of lease options available also. They apartment complex is a little older than some but, everything was in perfect working condition and clean. The boys didn’t get a chance to use the pool since they moved in after the closing date but they did utilize the on sight laundry. They were happy all utilities, except electric, were included in the rent. We were pleasantly surprised how low the electric bill was monthly also. The only complaint Spencer had was he wished there would have been a few picnic tables or community seating in the courtyard for the nice days. He had to drive to the park or the campus to sit outside to do their homework or just enjoy the nice weather. Overall it’s a great little place."
