"I came here after getting a root canal done to get a crown made and put on my tooth. A crown was made and Dr. Shaia did everything else in fitting the crown. So a few weeks later I begin to experience pain while chewing on that tooth (crown). I called and let them know I was experiencing some pain and they made an appointment for me to come in and have Dr. Shaia check it out. Mind you…I just paid this man about $600 or maybe more for my crown etc. I go in and he checks the bite, flosses between my teeth where the crown was and then did an x-ray. Literally that was it. He says he didn’t see anything wrong. He then says you’ll need to go back to your endodontics and have them check it out. Proceeds to say “I COULD prescribe some antibiotics for pain but”. But nothing he didn’t even do that. He didn’t do anything really. But after paying him $600 he charges me for a FOLLOW UP appointment $196 more (thank goodness for insurance) for legit nothing. Let me tell you I’ve had plenty dental work done by way more experienced and better dentists than him and I’ve never been charged for a “follow up” appointment which should of been made in the first place! When you get serious dental work majority of time the DENTIST schedules a follow up to make sure things are good if it’s a GOOD dental practice. I didn’t appreciate that AT ALL. And may opt to even dispute charges because I shouldn’t owe anything after all I paid. And you didn’t even attempt to help lol trust me he didn’t care. This dentist is about money as I can tell he does not really care about the patient. I wouldn’t recommend minorities going here either because maybe that’s where the treatment came from. Might I add his receptionists are weird and unprofessional, no one here seems friendly. Such a weird dental office I’ve been to plenty better. And trust me if I could remember the dentist I’ve been to in the past that did my crown I would have gladly went back (probably retired). Also, the receptionist tried to charge me an additional fee when getting my crown which she was WRONG about. Her explanation was that my insurance always charges that fee. WRONG my dental insurance rep had to call and let her know she was wrong so I could be reimbursed. Sorry this is long. Long story short I have never had issues with a crown in my life and I have two more. Go to someone older and more experienced. Dental work is expensive you want to make sure things are done right the first time and the dentist is fair. Last thing to add why even see me if you knew you would recommend me back to the endo??? If you knew ahead of time that the crown wouldn’t be the issue for pain then you should of immediately recommended me to go back to the endo but you did not because you’re greedy and care more about money than the health of your customer."

"Dr Shaia is not only a great dentist but he's a great person as well. I broke a tooth and he got me in right away. He had to spend alot of time on me. I don't think I've ever in all my life been treated with such kindness.I saw the way he interacted with his staff. His girls there are great! I keep running out of room here so if you're looking for a great dentist Dr. Shaia is the absolute BEST!!!!"

"Dr. Shaia and his staff are absolutely amazing. Not only are they friendly and personable, they are extremely knowledgeable. I came from a bad experience with another dentist office (major corp) who told me all the wrong things and left me--and my mouth--in a state of anxiety. I reached out to Shaia Dental Care because of their reviews and close location to my home, and I'm so glad that I did. The administrative staff were so kind in helping me get set up for my first appointment. The hygienist went above and beyond to be nice to me, and showed compassion in regard to my fear of dentists. (Which is not an easy thing to find.) And Dr. Shaia himself was pleasant, patient and informative. He took his time assessing my needs, listened to me when I spoke, and answered all of my questions in a way I could understand instead of using hyped-up medical terms. If you are looking for a quality dentistry experience that carries through the entire office, and have reservations due to previous situations with others, I would highly recommend going to Dr. Shaia. I can't say enough good things about the whole place. P.S. Their office is real nice too. Comfortable and not at all "antiseptic.""
