"My wife and I were looking for a custom buffet for our uniquely shaped dining room...stock furniture wasn't an option, and expensive. Woods to Home was absolutely incredible; we communicated what we were looking for (size, color, style, # of doors/drawers), and the owner came up with a perfect piece that made the room. All for a price we couldn't believe! No more Wayfair for us, we'll be ordering from Woods to Home again."
"We used Woods to Home to build a custom table to fit our small space (we stained ourselves and white chairs were purchased elsewhere). Bryan designed the benches to fit underneath the table to save space and pull out to seat company at the table. He worked with us to figure out what kind of style we wanted and was very communicative. He made sure we were on the same page about what we were getting before he began. His prices were very reasonable and he was done extremely quickly! I would definitely recommend this business to others and use them for future construction needs."
"I worked with Bryan at Woods to Home to design two different custom aquarium stands. He is able to customize to meet your exact needs and does it at a very reasonable price. I got exactly what I needed and it was completed very quickly for a custom product!"
"My experience with Woods to Home is a cautionary tale filled with buyer's remorse and regret for failing to educate myself better prior to selecting a cabinetry provider. I found Woods to Home on Facebook Marketplace while looking for a local woodworker. The custom kitchen islands the owner makes looked beautiful; I requested a quote. His price was very competitive; I inquired about having him build kitchen cabinets to match. He did tell me he normally doesn’t do that, but he was willing to take on the project because of the simplicity of the cabinets I wanted and the size of my floor plan. I did visit the Woods to Home shop, located in a residential garage, and learned all the cabinets are made from pine. (This did give me pause. I should have walked away at this point.) But the owner was consistently responsive and personable. I decided to move forward. Unfortunately, I am not a cabinetry expert, and I don’t know what I don’t know. Apparently, there were a number of questions I should have asked but didn’t. In hindsight, it was a mistake for me to go this route with cabinetry. I rented a U-haul to pick up the cabinets, which I glanced at in the shop before taking them home. I thought they looked pretty good. However, when I began examining them more closely in my own garage, the surface flaws became apparent: the paint coverage contained brush strokes, seemed sloppy / incomplete, and was not opaque on the inside of any doors. When I brought this to the attention of Woods to Home, the owner offered to come to my home after the cabinets were installed and do touchups. He claimed poor lighting in his garage was the reason for the paint issues. When my general contractor examined the cabinets, things only got worse. The base cabinets and island did not include a toe kick, which is an important standard feature among most cabinet makers. Add to that: poor construction of drawer boxes (one example, no dovetails); door panels stapled in as opposed to tongue and groove; visible nail holes on the inside of the cabinet doors; inability to adjust shelves; and the cabinets did not come in manageable sizes for faster, easier installation. I reached out to Woods to Home several days ago with this extensive list of problems. Since I don't want these cabinets in my kitchen, I requested a refund, less the cost of materials. The owner's response included statements like: "I’ve never received requests or feedback to change the process [around toe kicks];" "as you know, I am not a full-time professional cabinet maker and don’t follow all the same building practices you could find there;" "my price was on the extreme-low end for custom-made cabinets;" and "I’m sorry that we had a miscommunication of expectations." His response contained a strong overtone of blame. Woods to Home is just a side hustle for him, and the message I'm getting is to not expect quality craftsmanship or someone who's willing to stand behind their work. I regret my former ignorance but not my hopeful expectations and high standards. My message to Woods to Home: if you're going to make a product to sell, be all in or don't do it. Quote higher and make a better product. To date, Woods to Home has not offered a refund of any kind. Perhaps that will change."
