"Run! Never in my 23 years in business have I had to call my accountant and remind him to pay my taxes. Then, he still didnt file them. After receiving a letter stating my taxes were not filed, his response was, he's looking into it. Very nonchalant about it.. 3 weeks after firing him, we received an email saying they found all my passwords, banking info on a sheet of paper and forwarded it to me. Where was it? On the floor? Thats disturbing. Hope he's a better dentist than a CPA.."

"Please do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. My experience started with my first appointment, on February 27th, beginning 40 minutes late because Mike was "at the other office". At the appointment we agreed to file an extension in order to wait for IRA conversion docs in May (I had to research and explain to Mike how a Roth IRA conversion works). The extension was filed. I then received a surprise call on April 10th to pick up a copy of my taxes. I explained that my taxes were not supposed to be filed until mid May. Turns out, they were filed, incorrectly without my permission. From April 10th to May 7th I have been waiting for an amended return to be filed. Several calls were ignored and not returned. In the rare event a call or email was returned, commitments were made. Unfortunately, those commitments were not met. It's one thing to not understand tax law (although this is kinda a CPA's job), it's another to make false promises, show up late to appointments, never respond to calls or emails, and take unilateral action on a clients taxes."

"Don’t waste your time with this business. Unprofessional, unorganized, and downright careless- not someone you want handling your taxes. My family accountant of years (also in Parma) retired and his clients were referred to Mike Hewko. First impression: My husband and I waited an hour for our appointment, because of an “overbooking issue”. To make a long story short, similar to the other unfavorable review, he filed our taxes incorrectly as well. After several phone calls, Mike admitted he made a mistake and that he would personally refund us what was owed. Another two weeks go by, we surprisingly received our check, however the amount didn’t cover what we ended up owing the government because Mike messed up. I truly miss our previous accountant."

"One of the most deceitful CPA’s in the business. He falsely filed my tax return after providing me and my wife with a different return. Repeated calls and emails went unanswered. I am writing this review to those people in the Parma/Parma Heights area who look for someone to do their taxes. I will do my best in submitting the necessary paperwork with the IRS to make sure he is revoked and does not do business again in the area. Please be aware if you do business with him."
