"I want to thank the Sheriff's Department on this National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day for everything they did to help with the case of Kelsey Maynard our daughter .Deputy Sparks was kind yet diplomatic. Thank you all officers. Kelsey Maynard's Family"
"My CCW class instructors suggested we went here to turn in are CCW applications. If you want my honest opinion, pick another county and if you live in Franklin county just go to that Sheriffs office because my Co-worker’s got there license issued the same day. This place took 15 days to call me back and issue my CCW license. My wife is still waiting for them to call her back even though we turned are applications in at the same time. Madison county must not have but one guy handling all the applications or something. Spend your hard earned money in a different county if possible. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because they accept walk-ins and don’t require a passport photo. Other than that plan on waiting at least 2 weeks minimum."
"I was waved to go by an officer in traffic then he started screaming at me to stop so i pulled my vehichle over, he gave me a ticket i explained what happened and why would i think to go if he didnt wave me by his response was tell it to the judge. The same officer, officer talbert 5 months earlier woke me up at 6 am saying he was going to tow my truck because he didnt like my neighbor. Then proceded to tell me my neighbors criminal history from before he was 18 and after. Im not a cop hater but this guy from speaking with him doesnt seem mentaly fit to carry a badge let alone a gun. Also he lost my id in the road and acted like i was an idiot and already had the id in my car. My fiance was being followed and ran off the road when the police caught up to them they said it was a coincidence that the vehichle followed her for 20 plus miles. I have only lived here a year but this small town law enforcement acts like they are royalty and not like someone who id paid by the people to support the people. Otherwise they wouldnt spend 80,000 grand on new uniforms for there small amount of officers. I havnt dealt with many cops in my life but these have put the sourest of taste in my mouth. So much so i have thought about ending my career of 15 yrs to run for office and do something about it."
"Had a great time. Got my CCW license and thought I would have to pay $67. The office said that because I had a CCW license that expired 6 years ago I would only need to renew, which is only $50. Everyone was very friendly."
"The officer on duty was awesome ! The fact that we know some of the same people was a total surprise to him. The entire process was great. Thanks for everything. Russ B."
