"I've had H&R Block doing my taxes for years I've always been satisfied with their service"

"I paid almost $300 to get my taxes done. Though the tax preparer was friendly, she NEVER submitted my state or local taxes. When I called to verify they were submitted they assured me they were. 2 months later and multiple calls to HR Block... I finally had enough and called the IRS only to find out they were never submitted. I called HR Block customer service 2 times and finally had the state sent in. I would NOT recommend this place."

"Was supposed to come in next day sometime between 11:00am and noon to then get told that they weren't available but I could make an appointment on Wednesday, I said Wednesday would work. While walking out, they said "see you Tuesday!", which is infact what the card in my hand said. When I arrived Tuesday at the scheduled time (12:30pm), the place was locked up with no one inside. No one answered the phones either. No notice of appointment cancellation was given to me prior to that moment. DAYS later I get a call back with a solid, "my bad, when do you want your next appointment?". Head's up, I don't want one anymore..."

"Absolutely terrible experience there. The "tax professionals" gossip about each other to the clients, and just are overall incredibly incompetent. My taxes for both 2014 & 2015 were completely wrong. I was contacted by the State and City due to errors in my tax documents. When I contacted H&R Block they were less than willing to help. I have since corrected the issue - without the assistance of H&R Block - and contacted the BBB. H&R Block refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing and refuses to give me a refund, since I was left with nothing short of a disaster in their preparations."
