"The post office charged me 3 times more than the post office in Western Hills. I sent a small thank you card with a pair of earrings inside and McCabe post office charged me for a package (even when I asked for the cheapest way and questioned the price), Dave said you have something in the envelope, I agreed I did and he said that’s why it’s $4.75. When I went to Western Hills post office near Big Lots they said no you pay a $.40 surcharge so it doesn’t go through the flat mail machine. The same card and pair of earrings cost $1.30 sent to the same area and another pair to Ky for $1.06, same card and same earrings!!! When I went back to McCabe the supervisor/manager (older gentleman), made sure to state Dave the man that’s been here 14 years…very argumentative and said I have no way of knowing what you’re telling me is what was mailed. Very unprofessional and blamed the post office for changing rates!!! I showed him the receipts he said he can’t be sure there is a problem because of what I told him and showed him.. GO TO A REAL POST OFFICE, Mayberry rents that space and the workers are McCabe employees that don’t know how to charge for shipping. This is not the first time my shipping rate seemed a bit high."

"If your grandfather and little brother worked at the same store and your aunt was the cashier, this would be it. Friendly, small town hardware store with a little bit of everything...even a US Post Office inside. Prices are reasonable considering it's quick grab and they have things long ago discontinued by the big box stores. In fact, if you've got an idea to build a thingamabob out of whatchamacallits, I guarantee you'll find just the doohickies you need in one of their many, MANY parts bins/drawers. Some things are actually cheaper at McCabe. I like it that I can buy ONE bolt or assembly without having to buy a 10 lb. Contractor Quantity. No waiting in line. Friendly and helpful. They'll special order anything you ask for. Propane refills. They'll carry to your car. Light Bulbs to Lawnmowers and everything in between! What's not to love?"
