Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) is a non-profit regional law firm located at 525 Jefferson Avenue in Toledo, Ohio. ABLE is dedicated to protecting, strengthening, and uplifting the legal rights of Ohio's immigrants and immigrant communities. With over 50 years of experience, ABLE works to ensure justice for those who have nowhere else to turn, particularly communities of color and individuals living in poverty.

ABLE provides high-quality legal assistance in civil matters to help low-income individuals and groups achieve self-reliance, equal justice, and economic opportunity. They work to prevent homelessness, protect renters, support seniors and veterans, ensure access to healthcare and education, and empower communities in need. ABLE also focuses on advocating for due process for immigrants and addressing racial profiling activities.

In addition to their work in northwest and west central Ohio, ABLE serves all 88 counties in the state through agricultural worker and immigrant advocacy projects. Their offices are located in Toledo, Defiance, and Dayton, and they offer informational hotlines and resources in multiple languages to assist those in need.
