Variedades Latinas Grocery Store

"Nice shop that has been around 10 yrs. I called ahead to see if they had Empanada discs and they did. The store is a store, clean kept. No pricing on items, didn't bother me too much. The lady was nice, got my items out the freezer for me because I didn't see them. She carried my items to the register and checked me out. Excellent customer service. She also has an amazing display of plants that are VERY well cared for. These plants are huge! They are not for sale, but beautiful to look at. A bit of a language barrier, but we were able to communicate the important things. Some have said the store isn't the most esthetically pleasing, but to me, I'm there to get in and get out, so that's OK. Customer service makes up for it. The fact that she survived the pandemic as a small business owner says alot!"

"Variedades Latinas had the Goya cookies I wanted for half the price that I've been paying to get those cookies from a website. The store is a little dark though, and there are boxes on the floor. So don't wear your sunglasses inside and do be careful, or else you'll trip on something!"

"RANCID, expired food. Not at all impressive. While I've bought grocery items from this store in the past, my wife stopped by there this evening to get a couple items. The dried guajillo chiles were decent. Unfortunately, my darling wife picked up a package of jalapeno charras. After opening the package, I could EASILY smell that they were rancid. I went ahead & ate one, just in case. My mistake! The rancid taste is still in my mouth, 20 minutes later. :-( The package showed an expiration date of August 2021.......6 months ago. Unfortunately, this store apparently leaves expired rancid stuff on the shelves for customers to buy. NOT impressive at all. Buyer beware!"

"From what I can see, It's pretty good, just not as good as El Toro. Busy place, especially from four to seven. Would have to be there more to give it a proper review."
