"We have the NuBee 10 Frame Starter Beehive Kit from Galena Farms and when it came time to expand the box we went direct to Galena Farms to make sure we bought one that was the same size and look. We were told which one to buy. The NuBee 10 Frame Starter Beehive Kit is of course painted white, and the website said the one I was ordering was assembled and painted white, plus customer service told me which one to order and I did. When the boxes arrived neither of them were painted white. I contacted Galena Farms and was told i cannot call in, they cannot call me and can only communicate through email. I was basically told they are out of stock on the painted units, i got an assembled un painted unit and that is all they have. I asked for a small credit based on the 2 boxes I purchased and was told that was not an option. I asked for a supervisor to call or email me and i was told that wasnt an option either. The box seems fine and it seems like too much hassle to return it just cause it isnt painted. I would have liked it to match and the bee boxes are my 13 year old daughters and she wanted it to match, but the bees certainly don’t seem to mind. Just dont expect good customer service from this company, they just dont offer that."

"Absolutely do not order from this company!!! Horrible customer service! I suspect that’s why they don’t list their phone number. Parts, end up broken in transit, which you pay extra for insurance, and they will do nothing to resolve the situation. Absolutely nothing to replace the parts. I had bees coming and the hive lid was broken now that I’ve installed my bees. I had to put the lid on and now they say they can’t do anything because now my lid is used. There is nothing in the sales agreement that says a used item cannot be returned. They stalled for three days and never issued a return label. I ordered two hives one was pre-drilled the other wasn’t it doesn’t come with the right amount of screws. Had to go to the hardware store to find the screws to put the hive together. Don’t order from these guys. They are horrible!"

"Horrible quality and even worse customer service. I purchased 5 unassembled hive kits last summer with the intent of putting them into service this spring. As I began assembling this winter almost all of the of the sidebars were splitting as I assembled the frames. They were splitting before I even tried to put a nail in the bottom board. Also, much of the wooden-ware is not uniformly cut as you can see in my picture. Dealing with customer service has been nightmarish. It's been a two month saga trying to get them to replace their defective product that is still not resolved. They also completely shorted me a hive in their original shipment. They did ship it out quickly but by this time I was pretty much beyond thinking that this would be usable equipment. Avoid this product and this company."

"Very disappointed with their customer service. Spent over $400 on three hives and had a bottom board and an outer cover that was defective. Contacted and requested to get a replacement on those two pieces and was not helped at all. Was told we had to first send those pieces back before they would send out the replacements…these are awkward pieces and if they would send the replacements we would happily return the defective ones on the packaging. They would not budge on this and we are stuck with defective parts and no customer service. We are repeat customers and our first order a few years ago was fine."

""100% satisfaction guaranteed" well that is not the case at Galena Farms. I purchased their Busy Bees N More Amish built hives including 6 deep supers 7 medium supers as part of 3 hives kits. These boxes are horrible! The wood is super soft and feels more like balsa wood. It is so soft that when it was planed it actually just shredded the side of some of the boards as you can see in my pictures. The figure joints do not fit, like they were cut incorrectly. The width is correct but the joints are spaced wrong. I tried filing them to fit but then some just still split trying to assemble or if they did assemble without spitting they would leave gaps between the boxes when stacked. I spent hours trying to make these work, filing, planing edges, then painting. When I contacted Galena Farms about the issue I was told I would have to send them back before they would do anything. I am stuck with them. Not sure how long this wood will last. I am shocked that this company does not seem to do any Q&A on what they sell and lets the end consumer deal with it. I thought Amish would be good quality but definitely not the case."
