"I think my first sign was when I called to have a quote done for all new gutters. He told me a date and never showed up. When I called back days later he told me that he forgot. We he did show up the quote was competitive so I went ahead and hired him (didn't even try to negotiate the price). When the day came to have my gutters installed he did not show up or even bother to contact me. So I contacted him again to see if he was coming and his reason was I forgot. So I asked because he forgot if he was going to take off a hundred dollars. His response was no and I should go find someone else. As a business I would think you might not want to forget your customers and then leave them high and dry."
