"Called this morning and was able to get an afternoon appointment. The shop was beautifully decorated and welcoming. Joe gives a good cut and beard trim with a straight razor clean up . I’ll definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommend this shop if you want a classic barbershop experience."

"First time there and service was excellent! Got an awesome haircut and didn't have the worries I do going to Gr3@t Cl!ps or as I say " 50/50 Clips " bc you never know who will cut your hair or how bad they suck! Plus its best to always go to same place and have the same person cutting your hair bc like they say practice makes perfect! That and the location is perfect! It's in walking distance for most of South Charleston residents."

"Even if you're not getting a haircut or a shave it's worth stopping into this beautiful shop, lovingly designed by its friendly owner, Joe Hamilton. He has transformed a completely non-descript building in the middle of a parking lot into a Victorian fantasy with a turret and trim and fretwork on the outside, and old-time barbershop fittings and antiques on the inside. I happened to get a straight-razor shave when I went in today, and was greeted warmly by Joe, a local man who seems to know everyone and everything about this charming small town. The barbershop is located at the intersection of a bike trail and a busy road, next to an equally busy supermarket. I expect Joe's business will get a lot of traffic too, so I recommend you book an appointment, even though he does take walk-ins (there were two during the 20 minutes I was in there). I highly recommend a visit to this barbershop: not only will you be supporting a small business in a small town, but you'll also be transported to different time and place, and like a time traveler, you'll come out of there a little disoriented but pleasantly surprised by the experience."
