"Even if you're not getting a haircut or a shave it's worth stopping into this beautiful shop, lovingly designed by its friendly owner, Joe Hamilton. He has transformed a completely non-descript building in the middle of a parking lot into a Victorian fantasy with a turret and trim and fretwork on the outside, and old-time barbershop fittings and antiques on the inside. I happened to get a straight-razor shave when I went in today, and was greeted warmly by Joe, a local man who seems to know everyone and everything about this charming small town. The barbershop is located at the intersection of a bike trail and a busy road, next to an equally busy supermarket. I expect Joe's business will get a lot of traffic too, so I recommend you book an appointment, even though he does take walk-ins (there were two during the 20 minutes I was in there). I highly recommend a visit to this barbershop: not only will you be supporting a small business in a small town, but you'll also be transported to different time and place, and like a time traveler, you'll come out of there a little disoriented but pleasantly surprised by the experience."
