Deer Creek Dam

"Nice place just to sit and relax and watch the boats out on the lake. Several park benches and picnic tables available. The Monarch garden is my favorite place to visit, lots of butterflies, sphinx months, and the occasional hummingbird. Advise watching for deer in the evening while driving. If you're lucky you might spot some wild turkey in the area, as well as bald eagle and osprey."

"Pretty cool spot to find while out Ohio road tripping. Heard of Deer Creek before but didn't realize it was as big as it is. Seen several people fishing at the base of the dam. Not sure how good the fishing is or the catch. But it was a beautiful October day. Glad the restroom facilities were open."

"Great place to fish and play if you are camping in Deer Creek state park. The playground is clean and really nice and the grounds were well maintained. There were also picnic amenities such as picnic tables and grills. I didn't use the restroom but its nice to know it's an option when fishing! Both times we were there (dusk and daytime) there were never more than 6 people fishing. Hubby caught a huge catfish. We will be back !"
