"Fairport Harbor is beautiful during any season and is well kept. (Check it out when the ice is thick enough and read about its history). The only thing I never loved was the parking, which while abundant, can fill up and it's not all paved. I believe there is an expansion for this in the works for the future. That will help. I've been able to appreciate this beach in many ways over the years with and without my kids. They have kayak rentals available, places to lay out and relax, and my son did Lake Metroparks youth boating lessons here (and they still do them here). There is concessions (I've not patronized but looks well visited) and bathrooms, rinse off station, and changing spots. It is not a big beach but I honestly prefer it. The view is beautiful with the lighthouse, break wall, jetskiers, boats, and ships."

"We went for the 3rd Annual Reggae Festival and spent a little time on the beach while there. Not only did we enjoy the music and food from the food trucks but we spent time on the water’s edge enjoying the sunset and trying out the giant chair. We also learned a little something about the lighthouse…it was working for 100 years!"

"Our favorite place to relax at the beach. There is everything you need available, including bathrooms, shower stalls, and a snack bar. It is quiet and a perfect place to watch the fireworks on the fourth of July or the sunset every evening. Walking distance to town, especially a must visit location the Fairport Harbor Creamery or breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the Fairport Harbor Family Restaurant."
