Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - Fort Wayne

"I booked a boys haircut with Jessicca. She has worked with him in the past and did a phenomenal job. Truly one of the best. When we arrived today we checked in and waited. We thought Amira was just getting us started. Unfortunately she was the stylist. Forty minutes and a terrible experience later my son was left with a hack job for his third birthday. I take responsibility for not being more direct about waiting for our original stylist. To the management, if someone books a specific person, please honor this request. Updated 2/18/2024: I appreciate all that management has done to resolve this issue. Not only did they apologize for the issue and accepted ownership of my concerns, they helped to navigate a potential issue in the future. I look forward to returning and expect next time we will not have any issues. My best advice to others, if there is an issue during the haircut, say something to the stylist ASAP."

"This was my third time getting my son’s haircut here and it will definitely be my last. I’ve never had a good experience, but I tried again because it looks so fun for the kids. The quality of the haircut is lousy and nowhere near the cost. I tried to opt out of the wash to make it cheaper and you can’t do that. It’s $30+tip. I’ll have to wait for this weird mess to grow out and get him a proper haircut somewhere else."

"We had an awesome experience for my sons first haircut! Everything was quick and efficient. I was nervous our son would not do very well because he is in a phase lately, he yells “no” even if you just look at him sometimes, and he of course woke up today in not the best mood lol. Specifically he has been touch-sensitive lately especially about his hair, so truly, I was very nervous! He liked the fun seats, they gave him a toy, and put some cartoons on and he was completely fine. I believe QB is who cut his hair, that is at least what our reservation said! She was quick but also very thorough and kept checking to make sure everything was even and looked great. He was confused at first when she started cutting but she got him relaxed easily, and although he was in a good mood, he kept moving a lot of course lol. She handled it really well and I was impressed with how well she cut his hair while he wouldn’t even sit still! She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure to ask questions as she went. She was so patient and kind, and his hair looks great! It was all the little details for us too, such as no-noise clippers for example. Price was great too, I believe it was $35 before tipping, and that was for the first cut package, which included the cut, a certificate, before and after printed photos, a lock of his hair, and a balloon and sucker afterwards. My son had long and curly hair and was starting to be mistaken for a girl because it was over his ears, I will attach before and after photos; my request was to leave the back alone but cut the sides with a little bit of a fade, and cut the top and front a little shorter so it wasn’t in his eyes. A mullet because I can’t bring myself to cut the curls lol. She killed it"

They gave her an adorable haircut, and the atmosphere was perfect for kids. We'll definitely be returning for all her future haircuts. 100% giving Five stars!!"
