"A few muddy spots, for the most part trails are in great condition. Few animals and quitters scurrying about. Very quiet and serene."

"Beautiful place to hike, different trails for different levels of hikers. Some areas can be narrow with pretty big drops offs on both sides so be careful if you're doing the orange trail. I go here at least twice a week during warmer months. Favorite hiking spot!"

"Having moved up to the Dayton area from Cincinnati and missing my Cincinnati hiking.... This is by far my most favorite hiking area!! It's absolutely beautiful and serene. There are a variety of trails that you can take that are very well marked. Some are short, some a couple of miles, and if you want longer ones there are 5 mile trails. When I like the most is that there is an approximate time amount on each trail when you begin so you know about how long it will take. On my most recent visit I discovered three different camping site areas with a latrine. Very clean and spacious spots and I very much intend to camp next year when the weather gets warmer. I love walking my dog here and you very rarely run into people on the trails which I love! There is an outhouse at the parking lot so I would recommend using it before you take a hike. I would also recommend bringing water."

"I had a hard time finding the parking lot for the orange trail that goes along the creekside. I drove up and down looking for it. The other, southern lot was very small. It had four or five parking spots down the small hill from Lake George and access to a non-creek trail. There is a very large gravel lot but that is for horse trailers only. I ended up visiting Dogwood Pond and Lake George inside the park. Both are simple fishing ponds. Dogwood Pond requires a couple minutes of hiking, the sign for the parking lot is easy to pass up in between residential drives and the sign is not prominent. I would use bug repellent, a hat, long sleeves, and pants for the biting insects. There was some litter around. I was a bit disappointed by this park, but I may revisit it at some point. I would instead recommend the Possum Creek ponds in Five Rivers Metroparks for fishing over Dogwood Pond and George Lake. I do not recommend the public access point outside the park boundary on Chamblis Rd. Though it was crowded with vehicles, possibly due to lack of creek access inside the park, it is not part of the park. Individuals had a campfire under the bridge and some unleashed dogs."

"Coming from Cincinnati, this is one of my favorite places to hike. Today, we saw lots of wildflowers, some we had never seen before. The hike had nice elevation changes, and the vegetation changed as we went along the trail."
