"Nice easy walk, one stretch of the trail is diverted around a wet area and it's a bit rough as it wasn't cut flat to the ground so be cautious as it's easy to trip on small stumps from the shrubs that were cut. Aside from that it's a nice area for a family walk. We saw quite a few birds including bluejays and woodpeckers."

"Turkeyfoot is a small but very pretty nature preserve. There is a simple loop hiking trail, mostly through a prairie. There is not a lot of shade during the summer, try to visit in the morning or evening, and bring plenty of water."
