"This place is probably the best nature preserve anywhere around. Id say it's closer to Union City than Greenville though. This place is big, and it's beautiful. There is no shortage of trials to walk here. There are atleast a few hours of trails worth walking here and to go around the whole thing will take around an hour. This place is amazing."

"This preserve is a little farther out of town, but it is one of my favorites. The trail from the parking lot leads through a meadow, then follows the creek through the woods. Don't cross the fence at the end of the trail heading west, that is private property. No water or restrooms here, so plan ahead. Beware of ticks."

"If you want a trail without other people on it, this is the one for you! There are rarely people here. It's a great place to walk your dog, especially since there are a couple of streams at different locations so they can drink. The longest trail is only about 1.5 miles (go to the end and turn left), and every other trail dead ends. The path is well-maintained. As with any trail in the Ohio woods, there are ticks. There are no bathrooms or trash cans, so what you pack in, you should pack out."

"I'm a bit in love with that area. Always wanted to build a house there. It use to be pasture land for close to a hundred head of cattle back in the 40's and 50's. After my dad passed away in 1997, my sibs and I donated the acreage to the Darke County Park System. My family owned the land since the first Land Grants were granted back in the late 1700's."

"I could tell this trail isn't used much. There were dozens of spider webs across the trail. I ended up finding a stick to swing in front of me to knock them down. Mosquitoes weren't an issue until I got down near the creek. There is a small hill that could become slippery when muddy. Once down the hill near the creek there was standing water in sections. There is a secondary trail that crosses a stream but it started to look like an animal trail as it was overgrown and narrow. If you aren't good with directions you could get turned around in there. It is an easy hike over a mile long. I don't know how far the secondary trail was as I didn't complete it."
