"I’m very sad to be in a position like this, where I have to write a bad review for a doctor I thought had my back and cared about his patients. Boy was I wrong. I was a patient of Dr. Swishers for over a decade. I called the office on Dec 27 to make an appointment only to be told as of Jan 1 they no longer accepting my insurance. I’m overdue and need refills on my prescriptions. I asked if they planned on telling us and the (very rude) person who answered the phone said they mailed letters. There’s 3 of us here, and my daughter at a different address, that are patients. None of us got a letter. The first girl I spoke to did not want to hear my disappointment in not being given proper time to find a new provider. To be honest, I was kind of in disbelief that I was being treated this way as my family and I have been loyal patients for many years. And this girl just kept talking over me, interrupting me and just being very rude. I wasn’t being rude, I was just confused and instantly stressed, and I wanted answers. This girl had no time for any of that. She put me on hold and never came back on the line. So I called back. This time, the girl that “only works in the lab” as she said, answered and was just as rude. It felt like they were thinking “we don’t take your insurance and more and couldn’t care any less about you or what you need.” I have some complex health issues and now have the stress of finding a new doctor with no notice. I’m also out of refills on a couple meds and they won’t fill them, nor would they work me into the schedule before they no longer accept my insurance. I’m extremely disappointed in how this all went down. I was able to speak to the only worthwhile staff member he had, and it was confirmed…no letters were sent, so I was lied to about that. I just can’t believe that after being a patient for so long he could just drop us like that, with no notice, then allow his staff to be rude to us about it. I’m very disappointed in the whole situation. I now have to find a new doctor and am completely out of 2 medications I need and will now withdrawal from Dr swisher couldn’t refill them because they’re controlled so I have to be seen every 3 months. So it’s my fault I couldn’t make it in there sooner. Like everyone else, we are very short staffed at work and I haven’t been able to take any additional time off. So that part falls on me. But I thought I’d be able to get in while I am off for Christmas and new years, only to find out I no longer have a doctor. I do believe Dr. Swisher is a good doctor. But you just don’t allow your staff to treat people this way. I don’t understand why he allows it. All he has to do is read these reviews to see there’s a problem. Most of them go the same way….”Dr. Swisher is great but his staff sucks”. You’d think he’d make some changes but maybe he just doesn’t care."

"Receptionist is VERY rude. Very un professional and such a poor addition to an amazing Doctors team. I also received a certified letter that the office will no longer see me. Ha Ha As if I was going to go back to. No wonder why they have a three star review and the receptionist has so many negative reviews."

"I would not recommend Dr. Benjamin Swisher's practice called Stark Family Health Center for several reasons. 1. He has a high turnover rate of his small nursing staff. 2. The office is dirty. 3. His office staff is rude and unprofessional. For example, on the receptionist glass window is a list of insurance companies that don't accept. But they excepted my insurance and I still had problems with the office staff. The office staff will bill service types as medical and not preventive! I explained to them the visit is preventive before I saw the doctor. They may get more money for medical billing. They won't correct their error to preventive billing so insurance covers it! If you go there and they want to do blood tests and they don't tell you to fast, you will be paying a second copay for a return visit to just have your blood drawn. 4. Doctor Swisher and his office staff's solution to you asking them to correct their billing error is to tell you not to come back. 5. I have talked with other people who have had similar problems with Doctor Swisher's office staff. They say he is ok as a doctor but his office staff is the worst. The office staff is a direct reflection of the doctor. I can't recommend Dr. Benjamin Swisher's practice called Stark Family Health Center"

"Dr swisher is a good dr and knows his stuff but his employees make this drs office one of the worst ones. From calling to checking in it seems like they hate their jobs ans wanna only do bare minimum to collect their check. Takes weeks for refill requests from pharmacy to get sent over. They make you jump through hoops for help. Ive called for 2 weeks trying to get my insulin refilled and they just kept saying they dont anserw fax messages from pharmacists. Like who is really that lazy??? Seems like they have way to many patients and not enough employees. They are way overwhelmed."
