"Don’t think it could have possibly went worse. My son has been sick for 3.5 weeks. Minute clinic diagnosed him with a double ear infection/sinus infection. Started meds but he wasn’t responding and was getting worse. I ended up going to urgent care because I had the same thing and wasn’t responding. Got tested for strep and was positive so switched antibiotics. Within a day I was feeling better after 3 weeks of misery. The very next day we took my son to urgent care and they diagnosed him with strep as well except I couldn’t get him to take the medicine. Vomited every single time. I called his ped to get him in for a shot as a last resort, and at first they didn’t believe that I had tried everything under the sun to get him to take these meds. I spent $100 on antibiotics and visits so trust me I TRIED. First they were 35 mins late getting us back but of course had time for the pizza guy to drop off food. The doctor said she wasn’t comfortable giving him a shot without documentation. I called urgent care 3x with them on speaker and had them email me results, but they had only given him a nasal swab and not the throat. Since I was there the day before and had strep and he had all the criteria that was their diagnosis. So rainbow tested him again which was negative, but since he had been on cefdinir for a week it’s possible that’s why he showed negative. They then tried to administer ibuprofen for his 103° fever which he threw up, like I said would happen. I was fighting tooth and nail to get them to help my child. She said there was no record of him having amoxicillin clauvenate on his record and that it only showed amoxicillin 3/10. I had to pull out my rx and show her this is what they gave him but liquid form. It’s like I was swimming upstream. Regardless, he has been sick for almost an entire month, he clearly needs medicine. Then after they finally gave him the shots they were supposed to check on us 10 mins later for reactions since it was new. 20 mins go by I had to go find someone. They were in the lunch room and just never came to tell me. If I could rate 0 I would. I’ll never bring my child back here again. The most frustrating and hopeless experience as a parent I have ever had in my entire life. Do better."
