"Was not satisfied with care from Dr. Schilling. So, at the end of June 2023 I woke suddenly with an alarmingly high heart rate in the 160s. I was taken to Mary Rutan ER. ER really didn't know what was causing it. The ER set me up with follow up appointment with Dr. Schilling. It was hard to discuss symptoms with Schilling. When I mentioned that my feet were always cold, he said to put socks on. He looked puzzled at the high heart rate issue. He ordered a sleep study and prescribed me an antipsychotic anti anxiety drug. I was not happy when I got home and researched what he had prescribed me, I never took it. I had asked at my appointment if there was any other bloodwork to do to investigate the heart rate issues and he said to take the anti anxiety drug for a month and then if I wasn't better, then he'd order more bloodwork. I had already waited three weeks to get an appointment with Schilling, being miserable with my heart rate being over 100 all that time, I was afraid I was going to have a heart attack before anyone could figure out what was going on. So, I called my parents doctor at home in Cincinnati. Got a virtual appointment within a few days. He prescribed me a beta blocker to block adrenaline to calm my heart and also said to start taking vitamins D3 and B12. Within a couple weeks I was starting to feel better and already was able to cut down on the beta blocker. So, long story short. I was not satisfied with my care at Mary Rutan ER or Dr. Schilling. I felt like I was being treated as crazy and not receiving what my body needed to get better. An antipsychotic drug was not going to solve my issue."
