"My wife was receiving chemo and doing exceptionally well, especially after surgery though a different physician. Hospital repeatedly advised my wife, in writing, which she had to sign, that if she ever runs a fever over 100.4 degrees F, she must contact Dr. McGee or go to the emergency room, day of night. Without warning, she ran a temp of 103.8 degrees. We called McGee's office and go appointment to come in for about one hour later. Got there and were informed doctor said it's (fever) going around. Go home, take Tylenol. Tylenol masked the problem by lowering temp. We did not see him or a nurse. No vital signs taken. 4 days later she was admitted to AGMC via ambulance w sudden 105 temp. Blood poisoning caused by her chemo PICC line. She died three weeks later. I confronted McGee about not seeing my wife when all protocols say she needed to be seen. Without any doubt in my mind, he wasn't the least bit sorry. Only excuse was that someone in his office was out with a fever too. I would definitely trust Dr. McGee with the lives of anyone I hate, and that's about it."
