"I would give this surgeon 0 stars if I could. My mom has a major medical issue. She went to Columbus to have it corrected but they were very hesitant. A short time later she was admitted to St Rita's and saw Hixenbaugh. He said he could perform the operation. He did a terrible job. He also placed a heparin port knowing full well that she is allergic. Not to long after that she has a reaction. We have been going to Cleveland Clinic multiple times a week since the surgery in March. We were told that Hixenbaugh lacks the basic skills needed for such a major operation. She now has to undergo another major surgery in September to correct what he did. I would not recommend this surgeon to even remove a hang nail."

He did an appendectomy 18 years ago for me, did my hernia repair recently and is now doing another surgical repair elsewhere for me. He’s always been very thorough when explaining things to me, and has always made sure I knew and understood absolutely everything. I’d recommend him to anyone needing surgical services.
