Reviews
"I really wanted this place to work and tried to give it a chance. I also hate writing negative reviews unless absolutely next, but I want other parents looking for help to see this. If you are looking for counseling for your child, do not go here. I can't speak to adult counseling, that might be fine, but our counselor clearly did not have experience with children and the office is in no way setup for a child to be in. I am disappointed that they told me she was within their scope of practice when that is certainly not the case. I am so disappointed because we have been looking for help for a long time and this was so closeby. I verbalized my concerns to them and received no response which is even more telling of the quality of care you will receive. Please save your money and time and search elsewhere."
"Let me first state that my experience with my counselor was PHENOMENAL. However, their billing system is absolutely messed up. They would send me bills, I would pay them, and then I would get multiple phone calls from different people there stating I still had an outstanding balance when I already paid it (then they’d apologize and I’d get a call the next day from another person asking me about the outstanding balance even though I already paid and we discussed it). This issue has happened MULTIPLE times and their billing is a mess. I’m no longer with infinity counseling and I just paid my final bill and just got an email threatening to send me to collections and they upped my outstanding balance even though I already paid it and just sent them the transaction proof from my card. Absolutely ridiculous. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. They need to figure out their billing and communicate with each other and fix these issues."
"After reading some of these reviews, I feel the importance to share how the experience of a few upset clients should not discourage others to give Infinity Counseling a try. I have been a client for eight years. I know the CEO personally and a handful of the therapists as well. I absolutely can say without any doubt or bias that they all care enormously about my well being and the well being of each and every client they have the chance to serve. My life has been changed because of the work I have done with Sherry and Marjorie. Especially Marjorie. She has many years of advocacy for women in domestic violence situations. She is wise and empathetic. This is the type of individuals Sherry the CEO and founder hires. I can’t imagine Sherry hiring incompetent therapist as a few of these reviews have stated. Therapy takes time. Getting to know a therapist and them you, takes time. A few sessions will not equate to work not being done or strategies not being suggested by your therapist. Your the one who has to do the work. A person cannot blame their therapist if they are not willing to look inward as well. You have the right change therapists if you do not feel comfortable with the one you have seen only a hand full of times. Infinity caters to a wide variety of mental health concerns. So to say “ DON’T GO THERE BECAUSE OF THIS AND THAT” is not fair. Your opinion prevents people needing help from getting it. Reviews yes are helpful. Blatant exaggerations are not. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE REACH OUT TO INFINITY IF YOU NEED HELP. A handful of upset clients does not represent those who are extremely satisfied on their journey with the agency… They are changing lives in a positive way. Give them a chance……"
"Edit to respond to owner: I feel it necessary to say firstly that a review isn’t “hateful” simply because it is negative. My mental health worsened as a result of seeking therapy with one of your counselors and working with your practice. That is fact, and though I’m sorry it hurts your feelings personally, I am joining the several others here in posting warnings to others. Working with your practice caused more harm, and it is important to me to caution other users here. This is a review for a business—not a personal attack on you. Secondly, this was not just one mistake, as you indicate. Please note that there were numerous mistakes, difficulties, missed calls, unreturned messages, and multiple demands for payment. I left your practice in March. Receiving the bill with large PAST DUE in red mid-June after already addressing this with you personally in April was the final mistake that prompted my review. You seem passionate about your practice, so I hope you are actually able to take criticism to improve patient care because seeking care here only perpetuated harm. Original review: Avoid at all costs. I saw Amanda for five sessions, and though she was nice, she forgot an appointment she scheduled with me, openly told me the office was horrible with communication and billing (that was accurate!), and she made me uncomfortable asking about different treatment I had sought repeatedly (EMDR and she was doing CBT). The process of billing has been so unprofessional and haphazard, and I just received a past due on my bill that I paid April 23. It is so hard to find a therapist right now, but this practice won’t help you if you’re struggling, as other reviewers have stated here. Anywhere else is better than this practice, unfortunately."
"horrible experiences!! i only went a couple times, and the lady who was seeing me (kelly i think) never really gave me any advice/tips/coping mechanisms etc., things that you would expect from therapy, and never put much effort into my sessions. On my last visit, she asked me to leave about 5-10 minutes, she got annoyed with me that i wasn't sure what else to talk about, since i had already told her what was going on with me and anything else i could think of (with her giving little to no response to anything) and i was new to therapy so i wasn't really sure how it worked. she then, with quite a bit of attitude, essentially told me to leave if i wasn't going to talk. she was very rude about it and made snarky comments like "this is going to be a very long session if you can't think of anything else." i've left a review on here before about this, which got deleted because i guess it makes her look bad, but she was extremely unprofessional and rude. not to mention they are still trying to bill us for this session that i got kicked out of after 5 minutes, which we will not be paying for. absolutely ridiculous do NOT go here."
