"My sister is a resident there. She seems to be very well taken care of!!"
"The only downside that I seen was when I visited it had a urine smell that could be a bad thing. Also on the weekend it seemed there was not enough Aids on duty. My brother seems to be liking it there though. They just need to make a few changes."
"I am so glad we have Vanceburg Rehabilitation and Care in town. It’s allowed me to visit with my elderly mother daily and when I can’t, I know she is being well cared for. She has some wonderful nurses and aides who are taking great care of her. They are all very sweet and do a wonderful job. The residents are treated with respect and you can tell that the entire staff really try and make each one feel special. My only concern is some needed room improvements that haven’t been repaired . But over all I am very pleased with the care given to my mother."
"I love the staff, I love the care provided for my niece. I brought her home during COVID outbreak and was considering keeping her home, well after a week she told me she wanted to go back that she missed her friends. I am guardian over my 47 year old Down Syndrome neice, who started having some health issues and requiring more care that I just couldn’t do myself any longer and she required therapy. Well after getting through the guilt I felt and saw her thriving . I starting feeling ok about it. The rehab department is fantastic and the staff is like family. I can’t get there every day because of the way I work now and that’s ok, because I know she is being well taken care of and I have peace about it all now. She calls them her friends"
"My mom was just recently transferred to Vanceburg Rehab from another facility, and she loves it. She has great things to say about the food and the cleanliness of the place. At first. the transition was a bit overwhelming for her, but the staff went above and beyond to make it as easy as possible. They gave her the reassurance she needed to feel comfortable in her new surroundings, which meant the world to me. I live out of state, so the extra effort and attention to detail has been invaluable. I am so grateful for the assistance they have provided. To top it all off, a wonderful administrator by the name of Scott, offered to pick up her belongings at her last residence because I could not be there. I am blown away by his generosity. Thank u Scott!! Every employee I have spoken with has been genuinely kind and patient. They've been nice enough to put up with me during the times I've called with logistical concerns, as she got settled in. Basically, just great, compassionate people. More special thanks to business manager Pam, and nurse Ashley, both of whom took the time to listen with warmth and sincerity. So happy that my mother is now being looked after by the very best."
