"Absolutely fantastic experience. Very clean and well kept office, Chanel is the absolute sweetest and feels like a friend you’ve known for your whole life."
"We have been to many therapists over the past 10 years as parents of children with trauma, Chenel Stewart was the stopping place. She has seen 4 of our 7 kiddos. She is fully trauma informed, patient & kind- even her voice is calming! I love that she knows when to listen, ask questions to get us thinking vs when to give the push to do better and really think about how to change things for ourselves. She is incredibly flexible and truly feels more like a trusted friend/family member than a therapist at this point. I’m incredibly grateful for how she’s helped our kids, and myself through moments of secondary trauma."
"Chenel is one of the most compassionate and loving people I’ve ever been in the care of. I deeply regret not continuing my sessions with her. In fact, I looked her up today to call and get on the waitlist and decided to let people know what an amazing, intelligent & thorough counselor she is."
"I have heavily debated this review, with careful consideration as to if it’s even worth it to share. However, in hopes of saving someone else the scrutiny and disappointment I experienced I figured it is worth my time to do so. I researched faith based counselors in the area and found Chenel Stewart. I read her entire website and was so excited to begin this journey. I called immediately and there was about a 5 month waitlist which is no big deal because that’s pretty typical for the time being. I had been put on the list for couples therapy and was very hopeful this could help my situation. Faith based couples counseling from a Master of Arts in counseling and ordained minister I thought this is just what we need. The day of the appointment came and we walked into the office she was chatting with her receptionist and quickly took us back. When we started the session she opened with typical housekeeping things policies and what not but she included in that what I am almost positive is a lie, she said with my insurance if we missed an appointment they require her to report that and I would be dropped from my medical insurance. This immediately threw up a red flag for me because it’s not true she is just trying not to lose out on money. I let it go because I understand the perspective of a business owner even though starting off a client/provider relationship with a lie seemed less than what god would want her to do. Once we started the dive into the reasoning behind us being there it only got worse. This woman scolded me based on an assumption she made that I had a “predisposition“ and we don’t do that in there even though my spouse had actually said to me the comment I shared. I stopped talking after that there as there was no safe space for me to speak. She ended up asking my spouse to step out so she could ridicule me some more about wasting her time to the point I was in tears and wouldn’t speak at all. When I left she followed me to the desk and urged me to call and schedule a couple visits ahead. THE AUDACITY THIS WOMAN HAS IS FOUL. she actually thought I would come back after she had treated me so poorly without a single crumb of compassion for what I have been through. This is by far the most cold mental health professional with a great lack of compassion I have ever met in my life. I hope nobody goes into her office and has the same experience I did. I left there more shattered and disappointed than when I walked in the door. Not one time did she ever mention prayer, god or anything faith related. She was very quick to judge and, not a great listener which are two major red flags in her profession. Chenel Stewart you should do better! People come to you hurt and broken and for you to treat others like that is a poor representation of the mental health profession and Christianity. People like you who claim to come in the name of faith and treat people so poorly are why people turn against faith! Do better."
