"A hidden jem of Oberlin- even though it only has two theater rooms. What it lacks in size it makes up for in looks, nostalgia, and food. The Apollo was an old theater in Oberlin that was restored to its former glory. It has the old neon lights that hum and the classic movie theater feel. Brings back so much nostalgia. It also has extremely good food. The popcorn is perfectly buttered and salted. I have even walked over to grab some for a movie I was watching at home instead of using micorwave popcorn. Also the move ticket prices are very affordable and even cheaper on Mondays. Definitely worth a visit- even if you are not staying for a movie- just the looks."
"Classic old school theater. I've been coming here since I was a teenager. Low prices, kind people, and nice vibe."
"Went to see Taylor Swift. There were only 7 people in the whole theater and still someone came into the theater and asked our 2 teen girls to quiet down. (They were in the very back of the theatre dancing.) Then I went out to get some concessions about an hour into the movie and they were closed. The lady wouldn't even let me buy a few fountain drinks. She did give us cups of water tho. I wish they had told us when we bought our tickets if we wanted snacks to get them now."
"Great simple theater. The price lures you in, and the nostalgia keeps you coming back. Great for families or a date night. Only 2 screens, but the movies shown are very relevant to current trends. Also offers a rewards program and classic theater concessions. Recommend visiting at least once."
"Can’t beat the price $5 Matinee price. After 6pm it’s still only $6. Very small older theater. I saw a movie in the screening room which was very small. Everyone who works there that I encountered was friendly. Good popcorn! Small concession stand but it has something for everyone."
