"Seemed pleasant during the initial visit, but very dismissive of my concerns about pain during an upcoming procedure. She was very hesitant to discuss pain management for in-office procedures and didn’t give correct follow up instructions for said procedure (was told recovery time was 72hrs, but other sources say more like 1-2 weeks). Was offered by the nurse to schedule a painful procedure in office with her before even meeting her or learning what this procedure was. I cannot attest to how she behaves on the OB side as I don’t have children, but I was not impressed with her as a gynecologist. I opted to not schedule the procedure with her and will be looking for a more sympathetic provider instead. Update: Dr. Colangelo was going to perform a colposcopy with biopsy on me without redoing my yearly Pap. I went to another provider who redid my Pap and found out my abnormal cells had cleared in the last year. So Dr. Colangelo would have made me endure an unnecessary and painful procedure (while lying about the pain) because she was working off results almost a year old and was too lazy to redo them."

"I booked an upcoming appointment in July one year in advance at my last appointment and received a call today that the Doctor needed to reschedule due to an upcoming surgery. Ok fine - I was then told "well the doctor is booking out until next year". How is that my problem? Your office canceled this appointment due to a conflict on your end and now as a result I don't get to see my doctor at all this year? "Well do you want to see someone else, this happens all the time with Genecology visits." I obviously have no choice but to see another provider unless I want to skip my yearly women's health visit. This is another classic example of big money hungry Cleveland Clinic providers treating every patient as just another number and not caring at all about patient experience. It is also pathetic that in this area, this is the "gold standard of care"."

"I had only one experience with her and that being the birth of my first child about two and a half weeks ago…she was incredible. Great bedside manner. At one point my daughters heart rate was dropping during contractions and she immediately suggested a amniocentesis. I honestly believe she saved me from having to have a c section. My baby immediately stabilized, came out happy and healthy :)"
