He is always so nice and personable and remembers things about me from appointment to appointment which is impressive when a doctor sees so many patients per day. His nurses and nurse practitioners are also wonderful and I appreciate the close attention they pay to each patient. I’ve seen other providers in the practice and never had a negative experience - I called the emergency line one weekend night and spoke with Dr. Thomas who talked to me about my concerns for over 10 minutes and assured me I was not being a bother and this was what the practice was here to do. "I saw this doctor only one time and it was a terrible experience. 39 weeks pregnant and my usual OB could not see me so I had my appointment with Dr. Thesing. This was our first child and my husband and I had been set the entire pregnancy that we were going to go for a natural, medicine free birth. Dr Thesing did a cervical exam on me and it hurt so bad, I kept telling him that I didn’t like what he was doing and that I wanted him to stop. He pressed on instead. Afterward he told me that I shouldn’t even consider having a natural birth with what he witnessed of my pain tolerance. He asked myself and my husband if we “were medical people” and when we said no, he spent 20 minutes using fear tactics on myself and my husband. Made us feel completely ridiculous, like we had no clue what we were doing and very uncomfortable. When he left the room and I got dressed, I noticed I was bleeding heavily from his exam, which had never happened before. We left there feeling very upset, and after 9 months of prepping for a natural birth, was made to feel scared and unsure if I could do it. An hour later the bleeding had not stopped, and I started getting strong contractions. 4 hours later, the contractions were 5 minutes apart. This lasted all night and the next day we went to the hospital because contractions were back to back. After having my cervix checked, I was no dilated enough to be emitted. The nurse said that Dr Thesing had prematurely ruptured my membrane. We were sent home despite contractions being a minute apart. I spent all night trying to sleep, throwing up, and uncontrollably shaking and still bleeding very heavily. We went back to the hospital the next morning where I was finally dilated enough. I got in the bathtub at Family Beginnings where I had a wonderful natural birth assisted by Dr Wood inspite of everything Dr Thesing told me that I COULDN’T do. I am happy things worked out beautifully but I absolutely blame premature labor and 2 days of back to back contractions on this Doctors forceful mishandling. I will never let a doctor tell me what I can and can’t do again."

"Dr Theising is a great doctor!He has been my dr for 20 years and from just starting out in his obstetrics career to now as a 54 year old patient he has always been informative,professional,and extremely caring!He always takes time to answer questions I might have and I never feel rushed off or that my questions or symptoms that I may be experiencing are not real!I I have had not the best with other physicians.I. highly recommend Dr Theising!"
