French Quarter Inn

"Completely Underwhelmed! Thought by the looks of the place and the price of the room I was having to pay it was going to be decent! I was wrong! The tub... was ridiculous it filled up about 2 inches and the water was cold I had to get the garbage can & fill it up with the sink... the heater made loud noises all night, the fridge rattled all night, the TV was so small lol, they literally give you 1 tiny small bottle of shampoo & conditioner for 2 ppl. The coffee pot was nasty they don't even give you complimentary bottles of water to use for the coffee you have to use tap water. The ice machines are broke on all the floors except the bottom floor.... then you pay for a room for a bridge Scenic view lol the bed is on the opposite wall. Just so much is wrong. This place is stuff in the 80's and need a lot of fixing.. I took pictures and videos of everything!!"

"We stayed here one night for a wedding and had an EXCELLENT experience. The room was nice and even has a jacuzzi tub. The area is convenient for some fun shopping, and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Can't recommend this place enough. They will go out of their way to help you."

"Looks like it is the only hotel in old town of Maysville. Easy walking to local bars and restaurants. It has a deck on the back that gives you a great view of the river. They service the rooms daily and change the sheets daily. No restaurants or bars open in the hotel. There is an Irish pub about 100 feet away."

"Our stay was very nice! The room was nice, although we had a metal bed and it didn't seem as sturdy as what a wooden bed would've been. The grounds look nicely maintained. Day shift staff was nice, but seemed a little shy. Night shift staff were wonderful. Room was clean. We liked that it didn't have carpet, and the little rubber ducky on the tub was a cute and nice touch! Room had a nice sized fridge, and microwave, and the tub was huge! Nice room for the price and it's right on the river. The terrace overlooking the river was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and are planning to return in a few weeks. Hotel was in nice walking distance to downtown shops and diners! Overall, wonderful experience!"

"The hotel is right downtown on the river. The room was spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. However, I would not agree with the three star rating. The furnishings seemed somewhat cheap - the TV was minuscule, the mattress way too soft and the room seemed musty. It wasn’t until later that I figured out why there was a humidifier in the room (not plugged in initially). The back patio that overlooks the river was not accessible from the hotel - you had to walk around outside and up two flights of steps to get to it."
