"Was recently at a wedding at this location and I was appalled at how the bride, groom, and wedding guests were treated here. To start with the couple had booked all the rooms out but were told a week before the wedding that one of the rooms had flooded and they wouldn't have to pay to rent that one out since it was "uninhabitable" at the time, but then DURING the wedding the owners "close friends" came to stay in the unbooked room; and even by the time the bride and groom left the next day no one asked or even told the couple getting married that random people would be staying upstairs with the wedding party while the bride, groom, and wedding party's belongings were out in the open and their doors unlocked and open because the wedding party had thought they were the only people staying at the inn. There was also the issue of the owners telling the couple of an added "cleaning fee" that was not mentioned or discussed before booking. Added fees on the rooms that were booked by the couple that were not the prices listed on the website. And The rooms themselves had dead bugs and cobwebs all over. The owners were blatantly unprepared to host a wedding. The area that was set up for seating was so uneven and went down a steep slope of a hill that several elderly guests fell out of their chairs on. And the ceremony itself was down this slope that the bride and maid of honor both almost fell several times trying to get to the altar. The owners were rude whenever anyone asked for anything or had questions at all, and they also lied to the bride telling her the door to the deck where she took her solo bridal photos couldn't open so the bride and her elderly family members had to go down steep uneven steps, and up another hill on the other side just to get their photos done. Found out later, surprise, the door to the deck indeed opens. After a nearly sleepless night for the bridal party, where they locked the doors at 9pm and no one could leave to get food even though everyone knows at weddings the couple barely has time to eat, the breakfast the bridal party was served had multiple food allergies in them that the bride had told them to watch out for. The owners clearly don't know how to run a business and should not be hosting weddings if this is how they're going to treat the couples celebrating their wedding day."
"Some close friends of mine just had their wedding there and the venue had some very serious flaws that really took away from some of the festivities. To start, the lawn is at a substantial slope and they set folding chairs up in a way that the slope went down from right to left. It was VERY awkward to sit and several of the more elderly attendies ended up falling. Only a matter of time till someone gets hurt there. Up at the house was the same problem. 2 more people fell. No one from the venue even batted an eye. They couldn't have cared less. They also had some very strict rules that take away from the celebratory nature of the wedding. No alcohol was a huge bummer. No tobacco of any kind or vapes anywhere on the property was strictly enforced. A single restroom for the entire event is all that was available and no handicap access was available to it. No changing table for babies either. Beds and pillows were wildly uncomfortable. I could feel every spring in the mattress and the pillows were no better than a small folded towl. Very poor nights sleep for everyone who stayed. One last issue was the drive was VERY hard to find. Google maps will not take you to the correct entrance to the drive. So you have to spend 10 minutes driving around the block to the correct spot to pull in. I thought maybe I just missed it but everyone was complaining they also had to drive around bc they didn't see it either. All in all we had fun dispite the horrible venue, but I would highly recommend anyone looking for this type of location to keep looking. This place was horrible."
"Last minute booking & Debbie graciously accommodated us! The suite was lovely and very comfortable. She served a fantastic breakfast. I hope we can visit again someday!"
"What a wonderful place. I will be returning by myself, with family, and friends. I was only there for 1 day and 1 night and I could've stayed the rest of the week. Debbie and Brent could not have been more attentive. The property is beautiful inside and out. It is immaculate. This is hands down better than any hotel I have ever stayed at. Debbie made a delicious breakfast! This is my new favorite place."
"This was the best bed and breakfast we've ever been to. Beautiful furnishings, great hosts, very nice and quiet atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, the French toast dish was awesome. We plan on coming back every year. Thanks to Debbie and Brent for sharing their wonderful B&B with us."
