"EDIT: after multiple complaints going back several months in these reviews and saying something myself everyday; there's still no working tvs despite telling customers over the phone that they work great. Super shady. Also, no refrigerators and now no ice to have a cold drink of any sort. Lobby went a few days without coffee that was blamed on guests and not poor management. I've cleaned my own room, toilet, bedding, and am using my own towels because I was given 3-4 floor mats and no towels... If youre trying to run people off you're doing a great job- just don't forget how much guaranteed revenue and occupancy that goes with it. Not the most ideal location due to the lack of near by stores or restaurants, but there's several options if you're willing to take a short drive. There's nothing within walking distance aside from a gas station on opposite corner. Location can't really be helped so I can't fault them for it too much. For the price and area- these rooms are EXTREMELY nice! My single most largest complaint which is a serious one- the big flat screen tv mounted in the room hasn't worked hardly at all in the week I stayed. Very disappointed as I see it's been brought to upper managements attention quite a few times in other reviews. There's no in room fridge or microwave but there's ice and community use microwave in the front lobby. When considering the price, area, and other hotels in the same price range and their location - hands down this Red roof is the best choice. If you want more you will pay more, but those who are easily content will enjoy it! Updated furniture and clean stainless bedding and towels make it a big step above budget inn and the like."
"In the city, terrible smell. No coffee or tea in room, no refrigerator, no microwave. Pet friendly. Rooms were very clean. No staff on checkout so just had to leave the door key at the desk as we were in a hurry. We had alot of noise above us so we were unable to sleep and left early."
"Great for a one nighter! I stayed here with my dog while we were travelling from Canada to Mexico. The front desk staff was friendly upon check-in and assisted me with getting my AC unit working. They just reopened after renovations, and they were done nicely. I paid about $100 for the night (king bed on main level) and was pleased overall. Bed was comfortable and the room was fairly clean. I would stay again, if passing through. My only recommendation is to bring ear plugs with you if you are a light sleeper. The door didn’t give the best sound dampening from outside noise. Between the hum of the fan from the air conditioner, and the earplugs I brought I slept relatively soundly without much interruption from outside noise."
"Wow, what a great stay! brand new rooms, great value.. everything else close the University was $50 more per night. Ashley the GM was very friendly. I'll be back.. Thanks for a great stay."
"Booked a room last night for my spouse who was travelling through Dayton. Apparently this hotel just reopened a few days ago after repairs/renovations. The front desk attendant had issues checking her in, so she had to wait for a manager to drive over to assist. Once checked in, the A/C did not work in the first room she was put in. They eventually found her a different room however the TV and shower did not work in that room. She was too tired at this point to move rooms again. At checkout this morning, there were numerous other customers in line at the front counter with a number of similar complaints. At $160 USD ($220 Canadian Dollars) for the night we definitely expected better. Past experiences staying at other Red Roof Inns have been positive, so this location definitely needs to step up their game."
